It was a cold, dark November night in 2011, when my wife, Andre and I really had made up our mind that it was time to change from the current restaurant and bar and grill concept we had started in 2000. Since 2008, our existing concept was on a downhill slide. Despite hard work and dedication to the brand, sales continued to dwindle.
Seven deep fried dumplings with seasoned ground pork, cabbage, onions and Asian-style spices. Our own rich, cheesy dip blended with fresh spinach & tender artichoke hearts served with house-made crispy tortilla chips. The perfect blend of blue cheese, ranch, shredded chicken and our buffalo sauce and cooked perfectly.
Red Oak Pub is a sports bar and family-friendly restaurant. We are proud to serve Newark and the surrounding communities. After 5 visits I decided to update. Love this place, I sometimes make excuses to get to Newark from Columbus and this one of my favorite places in Newark to eat. The staff from the host when you walk in to all the servers, bartenders and kitchen staff are all 5 star, great service and they seem to enjoy being there and treating people well.
The food is all very good. My only suggestion for improvement is to use fresh not frozen wings and fresh cut fries. That is extra work for restaurants and supplies are tricky during the pandemic, but that would make this place totally perfect..

Love the Red Oak Pub. Food is amazing. Service is always great and the people are friendly. The only knock is they HAVE TO FIX THEIR WIFI! I came to grab a quick bite and get some work done. I got nothing. They are in a dead zone for cell service and the WiFi never works. Multiple customers complained about it. I’m 2021 this is a basic item for any restaurant. Please fix it. (Food was still amazing though).

First time to this a place. Very close to family we are in town visiting.
Burgers are cooked to perfection and so full of flavor. Fries are really good, too.
Great tasting red ale.
The atmosphere is a little lacking. Very average at best. Kind of smells like cigarette smoke even though there is no smoking inside.
Clean restroom.

We came here with wife, son and MIL. My wife didn't love it (didn't like the atmosphere) but I did. Had their house Irish Ale and found it a great beer. I had the Bunker Buster Burger and it was really good. The burgers are flame grilled and they have great flavor. We his burger had jalapeños, onion rings, red onion, and two types of cheese. I really liked the burger.
My side was onion rings and, while, not the best onion rings I have had, they were pretty good. Overall, a good menu with solid pub food, TVs on with games, and good service. I would come back again.

Stopped in here for lunch and it never disappoints. I started with a flight of beer and they were all very good. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap and fries. The chicken was fried and had a nice mild Buffalo sauce. The blue cheese crumbles paired well with the chicken. The fries are really good. They have a very crispy outside. The waitress was very friendly and the service was good

Went there to watch the browns game, and had tremendous service. We sat at the bar (I forgot the gentleman's name who was our bartender) for the entire game.
He was ON TOP of our drinks and food for the entire game. Food came out extremely fast and was delicious. I recommend the buffalo chicken dip.
Find a different restaurant/bar where the Manager washes dishes for their bartender... I'll wait.

Came in for some take out dinner and sat at the bar to wait for my food. The atmosphere was awesome, especially for the Ohio State football game at almost half time and even though it was 30 seconds to the half they gave me a drawing ticket for the end of the quarter to win a gift card. The bar staff was prompt and friendly as well as the hostess upon ordering. The food is delicious and exactly how I ordered it. Definitely good place to eat and just hang out in general

Similar vibe to an Applebee's. It was packed early Saturday. The waitress was really nice, but food took a while. Other tables with the same amount of people (3) who got sat 15 minutes after us got their food a while before us.
I asked for my salad dressing on the side because I don't like to put on too much dressing. It came out drenched in dressing.
I asked for my egg to be over easy, and it came out over medium. I usually don't ask for them to fix anything, but decided to ask for a new egg. It came out quickly after, so I was excited. But, there was a short black hair on it

Food was excellent! Pork Potstickers, Cheesesticks and tha Buffalo Chicken Dip were all really good. Especially the dip. I had the Meatloaf Panini and it was damn tasty and their battered fries are killer. My sister had the Cobb Salad and it was huge. The Mash with Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus looked phenomenal, and according to my mother, it was. Meal Portions are generous and our server Jaylee was on point! Definitely recommend this place and will visit again.

Our server, Dalton, was fast and attentive, keeping my drink full before I had a chance.
The food - honestly, their burgers read amazing. Their basic burger is tasty with garlic aioli. I ordered the bacon peanut butter burger - savory. Mozzarella sticks cooked perfectly for an appetizer. Onion rings also cooked perfectly, crunchy and flavorful. Brownie shared after the burger with a little one (super rich).
The downfall - most minor of gripes - the burger was well cooked around the edges

Had a wonderful late lunch out on the covered patio. We received a pleasant greeting and after a slight delay, the manager had a our cheerful server taking our orders. I got the lunch special with French onion soup (rye bread, not croutons) and half a Reuben with iced tea. The soup was great and the panini was just enough. The menu has several lunch combinations. It was also a birthday lunch and our server treated us with a large chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream and whipped cream. The manager and staff were in full Covid gear and sanitizer was available at the entry.

My children and I were out and about and hit with hunger, I gave them a few choices and they went with Red Oak Pub (YES!!)
It was a beautiful day and plenty of space so with special request we were seated in the shade on their patio.
Waitress was attentive. She gave us an appropriate amount of time to look over the menu. I didn't see fish tacos on the menu a friend of mine had ordered back in the fall so I asked about them. BTW it's been 8 months since I ate them for the first time and haven't forgotten about them if that says anything about them.
