You can only hope your Dentist is honest and trustworthy. Kim Rioux and the hygienist are not. Went in for my regular cleaning. The hygienist said I need a "deep cleaning". They informed me my insurance would pay 80% of the cost. I reluctantly agreed to the procedure. Months later, my insurance informed me they will not be paying anything for the service provided. Their reasoning was there is not ANY evidence showing a "deep cleaning" procedure was necessary. I called Kim Rioux and asked if they could file an appeal showing evidence the procedure was needed. They agreed and submitted an appeal

I called their office and was able to get in right away as a new patient due to a “cancellation". The online registration forms were fast and easy to fill out. Celine & Brevard at the front desk are friendly & very accommodating. The Dental Hygienist Krystlelyn is amazing and extremely caring. She also does a great job. I wish I could say the same for Dr. Rioux. I had two fillings performed by Dr. Rioux and her dental assistant Chong. As Dr. Rioux was injecting the Anesthetic into the bottom part of my gums she hit a nerve which immediately made me jolt. That has never happened to me before.

Always expect to pay a little more. Dr Rioux somehow always seems to bump up your out of pocket expenses in the most creative ways (even if she is preferred provider) . Even now charges $15 covid fee..drives the nicest car in the lot, has the biggest home, advertises endlessly at the theater, and yet always looking for ways to line her pockets. Fake bedside manner. Makes you feel like cattle in her corral.

Dr. Rioux and her staff are outstanding! I’ve had fillings, an implant, and cleanings done pain free. Dr. Rioux doesn’t seem rushed and consistently does quality work.
Dr. Rioux’s office really stands out because of the extra care she has taken to ensure that that you are comfortable during your visit. The heated pillows are definitely a bonus!

I am so pleased with the care and quality at Harbor Hill Dentistry. They are proactive and collaborative in their care, guiding me to learn best at-home practices for my dental health to partner with their comprehensive approach. I appreciate preventive strategies that may help me avoid dental problems later as well as their expertise in dealing with dental issues that do occur. I walked in with a cosmetic concern cause by a previous Dentist, and was promptly seen for the issue and in and out in less than an hour!! Not only was this office prompt with my concern, but the level of care was above anything I expected!
Dr Rioux was very sympathetic with my concern and fixed it on the spot! Her staff was very down to earth, warm and inviting! I'd also recommend Crystal the hygienist for your cleanings as she is both an awesome personality, and a thorough professional!! I will be bringing my family here in the near future for all our other needs!

MICHELLE at harbor hill dentistry... So here's the deal GENUINE care is a lost trade. Michelle has made me believe that it may not be as lost as I thought it was. This woman had never met me ... worked with my time constraint so I could spend the day with my mother for her birthday... she could see by talking to me that my schedule was tight, having 2 kids, running 10 businesses, and trying to take care of myself at the same time. My Husband and I have been looking for a dentist for quite some time. From our first visit to Kim Rioux’s office, we knew we had found the perfect fit. Welcoming, friendly staff. My hygienist Crystal is professional, genuinely caring, and the best hygienist I have ever had. Dr. Rioux was kind, listened to my concerns and questions, and gave me a feeling of confidence that my needs would be met. Everyone in that office is exceptional at what they do. My elderly mother with numerous issues came to Kim after moving to Gig Harbor. Her previous dentist had proposed over $10,000 of repair work and extractions to take place over the next year. Kim was really honest with my mom and discussed how difficult it would be for her to take on the repairs as she would heal very slowly and be in discomfort/pain for some time. Kim proposed taking care of the teeth that were still intact since mom was not in pain and could still eat. I am so very grateful to Kim, as my mother passed away a couple months after we saw Kim. and it would have a miserable time had

Would not recommend Dr. Rioux. All I will say is just make sure that when you are billed with any dentist everything is run through your insurance first so you get your network agreed price. Even if you are over your yearly limit dentists are under contract with the insurance company to charge a pre-determined fee for a certain procedure which can be significantly lower. In my case, by hundreds of dollars per procedure. The only way to know that price is to make sure the dentist office runs your procedure though your insurance first to get your estimate (it's called a pre-determination of

Once again Dr. Kim Rioux went up and above for me. I was in pain for three days, just thinking I either had a ear infection or just pull the muscle in my jaw. I waited thinking it would get better but on day three and only after I had a total of 3 hours sleep in 3 days because of the pain. I called Dr. Rioux and with out missing a beat, knowing I was in between insurance coverage she had me come in and she found out with in minutes I need a root canal.
