This place is worth the wait! I had 2 root canals, 6 fillings and a cosmetic filling on a chipped tooth with not one ounce of pain! I have been a patient for several years now. I have always been pleased with the service of the Doctors and Staff. The office is immaculate, all modern equipment and clean.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Hurato and his amazing staff of devoted and professional assistants. It's always a pleasure to go to the dental office. First visit with the kids to this facility. Dr. Campbell was honest, patient & gentle. Wait wasn't too long considering I came with 3 kids requiring full sets of x-rays, 5 fillings & cleaning.
Services
Dr. Campbell's dental offices are a third generation family-owned business. The philosophy has always been to provide quality dental care at reasonable prices. Dr. Campbell has been providing dental care for over 60 years to the families of Southern California. Whiten Your Teeth with Custom Whitening Trays $99 with purchase of a complete dental exam and cleaning.
Dr. David Campbell owns Century Dental Centers, which include five dental offices, in Southern California. He still enjoys practicing wet fingered dentistry a few days each month. Dr. Campbell also serves as Dental Director for the Los Angeles Christian Health Centers - Joshua House which provides health services to the homeless with the Los Angeles Mission.
They can look obvious and unnatural. But many people don't realize that today its possible to obtain dentures that look so natural that others assume they are. This personalized cosmetic premium denture is called a Portrait Denture, and is offered at Dr. Campbell, Dentists. Its a far cry from traditional "false teeth" - and its understandably the kind of denture most people prefer.
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry specializing in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of jaw, face and bite irregularities (malocclusions*). Orthodontic treatment is provided by an oral health care provider known as an Orthodontist, who has typically completed two to three years of additional training beyond dental school.
Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and also provide a fixed solution to having removable partial or complete dentures. Implants provide excellent support and stability for these dental appliances. Dental implants are artificial roots and teeth (usually titanium) that are surgically placed into the upper or lower jaw bone by a dentist or Periodontist - a specialist of the gums and supporting bone.

I can't tolerate people wasting my time!

Who likes going to the dentist really? But I showed up early for a 10:00 appointment to replace fillings.

Right now work is crazy but I managed to book things around this appointment. Although time is a constraint I gave myself 1.5 hours to do this.

After sitting in the lobby 22 minutes after my appointment - I asked how much longer. The time buffer I gave myself is running out.

I'm told it will be another 20 minutes! So 45 mins after my schedule time? Who runs a business like this? What's the point of me making an appointment it isn

Dr. Campbell was very very friendly, and his receptionists were as well but I have a big problem with this place.
I went over to this place because I was in the process of paperwork to go into the U.S. Peace Corps and I was required to submit dental records.
I went to this place because they could fit me in right away. When I arrived, there were no other people there.
They did the examination and then before the doctor came in, I was suddenly handed a form which stated that I would agree to pay for any additional dental work suggested by the doctor. I signed it, unbeknownst to the fact that

Services here is so poor. The wait time is so long even with appointment. They just kept me waiting here for more than 2 hours even though I had scheduled an appointment two weeks earlier. My experience here is horrible.

Had a procedure done, implant dentures, top & bottom. Dr. Robin S. took on the work. It took 19 visits for him to basically remove 17 teeth, implant 8 post and finish with the permanent dentures.
2 more visits were required due to an implant that came out and after that, another came out which I refuse to lose anymore income to have replaced.
This office, I found out later, does, or did not at the time, have the proper license to be doing any practice as I found out through the Department of Consumer Affairs.

At first it was a good experience at the office on Lake ave. in Altadena. To have 16 teeth pulled, 8 post installed for "implanted dentures".
Teeth were pulled, bone grafts done and the post implanted, almost 6 months later. 4 post implantes are in my palate, the upper ones and 4 are in my jaw, behind my gums. This is not what was shown to me with their display which shows the post on top of the gums. 2 upper post are set real deep also, not sure if even usable.
3 appointments cancelled, 2 of which I found out when I came into the office. This has turned out to be a bad experience.

I wish I could give a NEGATIVE five (5) stars. Everything about this place royally irritates me, and I highly recommend going to ANY dentist in the state of California but Century Dental, including children dressed up as dentists.

The CliffNotes version: This place is unorganized, inconsiderate of their patient's time, employs some rude dentists, and the administrative staff is mentally out to lunch, which can be annoying when they're the ones handling insurance, billing, etc.

The extended version for those bored at work: My first visit was for a basic cleaning. During the

****UPDATE******
So, at the time my review and experience were great. Now, almost all of the dental work initially done is failing. Within the past 8 months, I've had to have both teeth and crowns extracted from failed root canals. Unfortunately, I am having to get a lot of the work done to fix the damage. After my initial experience, I kept a consistent regimen and made sure I went to the dentist every 6 months. I really wanted to lower my review to 1 star, but the service and situation at the time was great. But today, 7 years later, I am highly dissatisfied.

I've had good experiences here in the past but now I'm having second thoughts. let me preface this posting by saying I am a generally patient person and an understanding patient. I get the hectic environment that medical locations can have however, it wasn't happening today. It is always taken under an hour for me to get my teeth cleaned here...

I thought I had struck gold at this dentist. Had an exam and then took my entire family in! Fast forward about 6 months. I came in with an infection. I had been in pain for six days and didn't know what was happening until I came in. They xrayed my teeth and told me I needed a root canal. I asked if it was an emergency, in tears, wincing in pain, and Dr Ma calmly said "no" but she was willing to pull the tooth out if I wanted to. She did not recommend antibiotics which would have been needed for both the extraction and the root canal!!!! This visit was after two trips to the ER

I am giving Century Dental Center a 5 star review. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I praise the Lord for leading me to Dr. Campbell who helped me with my teeth. I needed to have all of my teeth extracted. My teeth were not in good shape for a long time. All the staff were patient and kind to me as was Dr, Campbell. In one visit Dr. Campbell extracted all of my lower teeth and two months later he extracted all of my remaining upper teeth. He fitted me with a set of temporary dentures and then after some months went by, I received my permanent dentures. Dr. Campbell was very patient with

Let me just get this only negative out of the way....the wait is long! Be prepared to wait past your appointment time.
Ok, having said that.. this place is worth the wait!!! I had 2 root canals,6 fillings and a cosmetic filling on a chipped tooth with not one ounce of pain!! Maybe the wait is so long because they take their time to make sure it's done right and you feel comfortable. I drive all the way from South LA because the dentists are gentle and kind(I've have 3 different ones) and they work with you on a finance plan. I tried a different dentist when I switched insurance ( see

Been to Dr. Campbell in the past. Went to the Pasadena office on Los Robles about 10yrs ago. Never had a problem. When I called to make an appt., I thought I would be going to the same location, was told they relocated to the N. Lake office I thought nothing about it. Arrived 20 min. early knowing I would have forms to be filled out. My appt. was for 3:30. Front desk personnel seemed very nice, but after sitting in the waiting room for 45 min. I went and asked if I were to be seen soon. The gal told me she would check. No one was at the desk for 10 after that. I decided to up an leave. As a courtesy

Not happy. I was told I had an obvious cavity durring a visual inspection less than a min. I'm sorry but you didn't even check right and I dont have any surface problem spots. I don't need a filling. Also, since when does a person have to sign away all rights to the dentist. Hell no you can't make a decision without my permission and hell no its totally possible to match all fake teeth with your natural ones.
I walked out halfway through and I told them im not paying for sitting in a chair and being lied to.

Update:
Over a year later and multiple visits to a REAL Dentist,

What a relief! I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Dr. Campbell himself. He is a man who truly cares about you (and the community as I understand he donates his time to help the homeless). These days it seems like dental insurance coverage is so weak that you may as well pay out of pocket. And if you do you definitely want to go here! They took care of my problem quickly and charged waaaaaaaay less than I expected. Thanks, Dr. Campbell!!

I have always taken good care of teeth but after I lost my dental insurance I had to stop going to my lifelong dentist and tried Dr Campbell. I was very happy how friendly the staff was and how the dentist explained the work that I needed.

So when my very ederly Mom needed extractions and dentures i chose Century Dental, Dr Jackson was the one who did the work and i was very pleased. He was very friendly and knew what he was doing. Unfortunately, the dentist do not work in the same office everyday so you do have to get used to seeing different dentist when you come in.

A 4 STAR DOCTOR. Dr. Lee was a good find indeed. I came in for an emergency appointment, as my recently worked on right incisor had become extremely hot and cold sensitive. I am an out of towner too, so I really had to rely heavily on Yelp to find a place relatively close to my bf apartment.

Dr. Lee was very thorough. Initially thinking I may need a root canal, he did multiple x-rays and meticulously worked to not hit my nerve. He uncovered the REAL problem which was the filling had an air pocket (due to poor installation/product-who knows) and was causing the sensitivity. So instead of shelling

I went to the Dr. Campbell practice because of the rave review already on here, and it was absolutely worth it! My background: I had a blotch on one of my front teeth which had been there since fourth grade, and it had grown significantly worse once I'd had braces (from the bonding material my orthodontist had used). I figured I'd be stuck with a blotchy smile the rest of my life, and had been mulling veneers for the past 15 years. When I walked into the Dr. Campbell office two days ago, I assumed nothing would change, but at least I'd have a checkup and a cleaning.
