Our Fitness Kickboxing Classes are based in Chicago, but people join in LIVE from all over the world! In fitness, there are two schools of thought: 1 Lift weights. 2 Get cardio. We say: "Why not both?" Because your boxing gloves weigh 1 lb., every punch you throw is like lifting a light weight. But because you're moving and grooving for the entire session - you get great cardio too.
My 5 year old son loves class and the Sensei's are outstanding! It has really help with listening and discipline. They have great activities outside of class that really help to develop a family atmosphere. We just had a birthday party there; it was so easy and the kids LOVED it! THANK YOU Karate Academy for keeping my little one engaged, energized and SAFE, this summer. She made so many new friends and she is devastated that her time there has come to an end. I can not fully express how much I love Karate Academy. My son has autism and ADHD. He has issues with concentration, staying on task and listening. It’s almost been 3 months and he is already showing improvement. I have also noticed that he is stronger and more confident. He still needs more improvement so I will be keeping him in karate academy for years to come. Sensei Wilmer is great!! He is patient and knowledgeable. I've put my son in different things (basketball, piano), and this is by far the best move that I've made.

Where do I begin! My son attends Karate Academy and I cannot say enough good things about this place! Every member of the staff goes above and beyond for the students. Not only are they teaching them the art of karate they are teaching them useful tools to use in everyday life. Each Sensei there is special in their own way, they take time to help each child with anything they are having a hard time with and they always make the kids feel like they are part of the karate family. Karate teacher seemed nice in the beginning but then pushing my kids head instead of giving them high fives and having all the other kids laughing at them really uncalled for. The guy enjoyed it too much too. Seems like they teach bullying in this place. And don't want my kids thinking it's acceptable for a grown man to push them in the head.

We had a birthday party here last month for my son's 5th birthday. It was a great time!! The staff were very accommodating to our needs and engaging with the parents and children. The birthday activities were an awesome experience for both the children and parents. There was rope climbing, board breaking, karate moves, cake cutting with sword. Everything my son could have dreamed of was there. We were nervous to book the party here because the place looks like a hole in the wall but they were really on top of their party game and made us feel more than welcome until the very end.
