As Harry's Old Place moves into its 30th year we still delight in the fact that every night at Harry's we have something new and exciting for our guests to discover. Somehow we fell into a passion for the business. We found that we liked the hectic pace, the camaraderie and the funny off-beat type of people that work in restaurants.
Known throughout Polk County as a fine seafood restaurant, Harry's Old Place also offers a good assortment of steaks, in addition to chicken and pasta. Filet Mignon, delmonico, ribeye and new york sirloins are always available. On Tuesdays Harry's Old Place has Twin Lobster Tails. Wednesday features Prime Rib, and Thursday is Surf and Turf.

The place is cute and the staff was fabulous! I had the Filet Mignon with veggies and new potatoes. My husband had the Filet Mignon with lobster. The fillets were so so, not the best grade of meat. His lobster was way over cooked. The veggies were bland and over cooked. The new potatoes were good and so was the bread.

Over charged for liquor drinks, but food was decent.
They charged 1$ for ice (rocks) for each drink
They charged 14$ for the titos then an additional 14 for a "double". 28$ for two drinks. that is absurd. Was not told about the pricing until the check came.
When questioned about the pricing, they took off the "rocks" charge.
Food was decent aside from the fish, fish is a bit bland. The atmosphere was nice.
They have an absurd policy regurding liquor. No where in florida have we ever been charged like that, Not in any other state on the east coast.
Service was also sub par, server seemed unhappy

Wife and I visited this restaurant for her Birthday. Spent 65.00. Sadly it wasn't worth it.
We came early and waited for a few minutes while our hostess took a phone call. Someone finally escorted us to a table with a nice view of the lake. Unfortunately that view was obstructed by a parking lot which filled up quickly. The interior of the building is in bad shape. Check the ceiling to confirm this. Our server was polite but it appeared it was her first day, as answering questions wasn't part of her training.
The salad was unimpressive and the steak was undercooked and the condiments

Such a good home cooked meal. We really enjoyed breakfast here. They had a large menu it was hard to pick. I got a Mexican omelette it was to die for. My husband got some full breakfast with all the meats. He was so happy. And the prices are very reasonable. Waitress were all friendly. I like seeing happy employees. Only complaint. It's small, there needs to be more tables!

Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the ambience, excellent service from Ashley, delicious appetizer & entrees, mouth watering dessert...overall just awesome. We are from Georgia and super glad we could squeeze this place in for dinner before we headed back. Will come back again when we return for another FL vacation!

What an excellent experience. My first time here, and as a seafood lover I love finding these kind of places. A blackboard full of the days specials, ice cold beer on tap, and great fresh seafood.
My shrimp and mussel boil was more than I can eat, and that's not easy to do!
The home made Key Lime pie for dessert was the perfect ending.

Quaint restaurant located of a small lake. They had a large variety of fresh fish as well as steak or chicken if you prefer. I got the grouper special with rice pilaf and steamed veggies along with a specialty cocktail in a can. My fish and cocktail were delicious. I'll definitely be coming back again while I'm in town.

Just finished dinner here for the first time. We started with their onion loaf it was crazy delicious! Then my husband had the shrimp boil which included a mound of delicious meaty shrimp, potatoes, kielbasa and corn on the cob with a salad on the side to top it off. He couldn't believe he ate it all but said he couldn't not eat it. I had a burger which was done to perfection and was a high grade beef and a salad which the lettuce was clean, cold and crispy. Dinner tonight. GREAT stop passing through on referral from the owners family. Trying not to be bias- doesn't matter. Was GREAT feed. I had Grouper special. Very good, fresh, great scallops, shrimp. Absolutely the best cheesy grits I have ever had. Onion brick appetizer was so good. Really enjoyed Seafood Chowder with a notable twist- it actually had a LOT of seafood in it- not just a bowl of soup with a title. 6 in our party. Scallops were good, swordfish was top end I was told. Thank you to the whole crew!

I don't think this place needs my review to spread the word as it was very crowded both days we went there for dinner. Great food great service, fish was fresh and prepared perfectly. The portion sizes aligned with the price very well. If you don't have their peanut butter pie or their key lime pie you will regret it forever! Two nights in town both nights went to Harry's for dinner, nuff said!

What a find thanks to Yelp! Lakeside seafood at its best! We are from South Florida and enjoy the best eats of the Florida Keys. This restaurant belongs there. Absolutely fresh fish! The chef Cooks with love ....I can taste it! Whomever purchased the seafood is a master at its trade. Flaky fish and perfect shrimp. We had the shrimp and mussels seafood boil, the chowder fish (just FYI, it's not like a bowl of chowder soup), and the grouper special.

That place is good. We visited on our way back from LEGOLAND with our 2 small children. The meals were very well prepared. The drinks were on point. The staff was very professional and welcoming.
One patron kept looking at us sideways because our kids were a little too excited. (We just ignored)
Overall, great atmosphere. I will definitely go back when in town.

Don't let the exterior fool you, the food is what you are looking for. If it looks like they have no parking, check the area behind the restaurant. I had the broiled sampler platter with red potatoes. I should have taken a picture of it, but I was too ready to eat when it came out. This included broiled shrimp, fish, scallops, snow crab and crab imperial. All of it was seasoned to perfection and the iced tea came in an oversized mason jar. Went to Harry's tonight to celebrate an early Christmas while we are here visiting family!
Great meal! Shrimp, gator and cocktails to start were great! The gator was cooked perfectly! Fish and crab legs for dinner was excellent! The fish selection was great! Hush puppies were wonderful!
Service was top notch! Ryan was awesome, even once they got busy!

Food was delicious! I had the Blackened Corvina with Garlic Butter & it just melted away. Staff was super friendly & attentive as well. Docked one star as the tables did not seem to be socially distanced very well. Though there was some space btw tables once it filled up it seemed a bit too snug. All the staff that I saw were wearing face masks to their credit.
