I went in today to get a full color. I left with beautiful hair but incredibly disappointed in the staff. The student was incredible and did an amazing job. The staff on the other hand were rude and lied to my face.
I was given a printed receipt of my total before the student even met me. It was $55 dollars because I needed it styled for today. Then when I go to check out they say that my total is $75. I questioned this at first and the student said the instructor crossed out the price and wrote a knew one. There was orange ink written on my receipt crossing out the price. The receptionist even

I made an appointment for layers and I come out with the worst haircut I’ve ever received in my life. Nothing close to what I asked for not only did the student mess up but the instructor did as well I left crying and I’m still incredibly upset about my experience I will never go here again. They clearly felt uncomfortable cutting my hair because it was thicker and just didn’t say so until they started cutting

Definitely go here if you want to be shamed for doing your own color at home during a pandemic.
My hair is bleached & dyed blue. I came in for a perm, and when the instructor approached & patronizingly asked “did we do this ourselves?” I felt immediately embarrassed, like a child who did something stupid. Yeah, my color is faded. I still think it’s pretty. She could have said it in a less condescending way; maybe, “do you do your own color at home?”
The one star is for the info that a perm on previously bleached hair would not turn out well. I didn’t know that. Thanks for that, I

I am a student at phagans and up until today, I would have said it was a great school. The students all work so hard and MOST of the instructors are amazing. Except some are power hungry and only care about money. I was working on a clients hair today. I was doing a color correction and they told me to make the top of her hair yellow and keep the bottom orange. She was planning on putting blue on top herself once she got home. They didn't seem to inform her or care about the fact that the blue hair dye would have turned her yellow hair green. Even when I asked the instructor about it, she said

Phagan's is a great place to go for good salon services and at a discount. The students talk through with you what you are wanting before you start.. The instructor comes by at each checkpoint to make sure the student is doing the service correctly, so you always can trust the service you are getting. I have had great experiences here. Riley is great at coloring hair!! She did mine multiple shades of purple like I wanted and she was patient with my very very long hair.

Highly disappointed in this place. I paid $50+ to have my hair look like a 3 year old did it. I asked for a balayage and even showed them a photo of what I wanted (I’ve attached the photo here) and this is what they do to me. I was in there for 5 hours! I understand that it’s a beauty school and all, but the student had this checked by 2 instructors and they both said it was good. At the end of all this, one of the instructors asked me if I liked how my hair turned out, I said no that this isn’t even what I asked for. He completely ignored my comment and turned away to talk to another student
