Sun City Animal Hospital was established in 1993 as a full-service veterinary hospital, providing care for dogs and cats in the Summerlin/Sun City/South Shores area of Las Vegas. As the community flourished, the hospital has grown as well, offering services 7 days a week.

From giving your puppy or kitten a healthy start to creating a vibrant senior experience for your pet, we are here for you every step of the way. Of course, our full-service hospital includes wellness exams and low-cost pet vaccinations.
You know your pet is in good hands when you board with Sun City Animal Hospital. We treat your pets like they were our own children: feeding, nurturing, and lavishing attention upon them to comfort them in your absence. We provide tender, loving care in the form of brushing and cuddling, in addition to supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active.
Can you imagine what your teeth would look like if you never brushed them? It's no different for cats and dogs, though many pet owners don't pay very much attention to their pet's dental health. Bad breath and dirty teeth are unappealing, but many pet owners aren't aware that these may be indicators of gum disease that can spread to the kidney, heart, and liver.

2021/2022 UPDATE: Sun City has changed their policies for dentals. They redid their dental suite and it is very nice. Honey was the first appointment at 7:00 a.m. last month and got to come home around 3:00 p.m. Much better than 13 hours. This was my only issue with Sun City so they now get 5 stars from me again. They took great care of Honey last year when she was having some tummy problems.

my family drives 4.5 hours from arizona to take our pups to Sun City Animal Hospital. The entire staff is amazing and the doctors are beyond competent. I wish every animal hospital were like this one. Dr. Knehr cares so deeply about animals, the clinic, and his staff.

I have only recently started going here after taking my little toy poodle who is 15 years old to various vets all over town. By far this veterinarian and his staff are the best. This is an extremely great animal hospital. They are always friendly, the veterinarians are really great and constantly keep you up to date. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to share with others. Also the fact that they use TruPanion for direct billing is extremely helpful as well!

Yesterday my dog ripped one of his nails while playing, but he ripped it halfway off and way up at the paw. Hours later it still wouldn't stop reopening and bleeding every time he stepped, and my vets couldn't squeeze him in.
I brought my dog to Sun City around 3:30pm as a walk-in, and they make the time to see him, then sedate him and do the minor surgery/work he needed to cut off/fix his nail all before they closed at 7pm!
This vet was super nice from when I first called to see if they can really do walkins, all the way to picking him back up at the end. Everything is curbside right now, and

Very good neighborhood Veterinarian service.
My Dog Cooper has been going there since he was brought home from his Breeder in California. The office lets you know as shots are due or what services are needed by sending reminder cards. Very easy to stay on top of your dogs health. A few times when they’re busy it has seemed as a little bit of Short tempers exist but that’s with any office staff that becomes overrun, as with any retail business trying to solve issues and help. The overall business model is very good.
A key to your success is to make your appointment first thing in the morning
