Jack called me back after I left a message and gave me an accurate time and cost estimate (1/4th the cost that the Novato Toyota Dealership quoted me, and no overnight wait) over the phone. He cited his experience with the bulbs when I called back to express my concern and explain these are not ordinary, accessible, ergonomic headlamps like other cars have.
He replaced the bulbs in both headlamps with expertise and efficiency. The bays

I do all my auto maintenance work myself and I will take on some repair work beyond my experience level to avoid taking my car to a mechanic. I found Neuhaus by accident and I have used his service twice for repairs that were more than I could handle at the time. I am not easy to please but I have been satisfied with his service and he gave me some good advice on future repair work that I told him I would be doing myself. If I have a work that is best performed with a lift and I am just not feeling up to it I won't hesitate to use Neuhaus again. I think that says a lot.

I switched from the Infiniti dealer service department to Neuhaus Service about three years ago and have never looked back. I convinced my husband to get his Lexus serviced at Neuhaus also and he is very happy with the switch from the dealer.
Jack Neuhaus is professional, knowledgeable, and just an all around nice person. He does what he says he will on time and at a fair price. The Neuhaus Service slogan is "Quality service and repair at reasonable rates" -- this is one place where it's actually true!

I was referred here by a friend after my usual mechanic that I'd been going to for years sadly went out of business. As someone who doesn't know anything about cars it can be a little daunting trying to find a new mechanic. I am so so happy I came here! They are so friendly and based on the myriad of problems Jack helped me with the price was more than fair. Jack was kind, helpful, and happy to share his knowledge. Jack is an amazing mechanic. My dad has been using his services for 5 years and now that I’m driving he brought me to Neuhaus as well. The morning of my behind the wheel test we showed up exactly at 8 because the night before my headlight had gone out and we needed it changed right away. Jack took about 5 minutes to diagnose and solve the problem. He then refused any payment because it was a “simple” repair. But for me it meant the difference between taking my driving test and not. He sent us on our way with plenty of time to spare. I will never go anywhere else.

Jack was actually referred to me by a service tech at the Lexus Dealership. He solved my transmission issue with ease and very little expense. He has shown himself, to be honest, highly competent and a good value. Twice this year he has bailed me out of issues that could have been a much larger expense elsewhere. Every customer seems to know him and speaks with him like an old friend. The highest of recommendations.

All the reviews re: Neuhaus & Jack's top rate customer service are spot on. It seems unfortunate that these days, finding a trustworthy mechanic who understands & values clients and delivers at providing the best experience is a rarity. As a new customer, Jack was patient, beyond polite, and completely willing to work with me after explaining to him my crazy schedule. Repair (brake pad replacement) only took a few hours and Jack even took the time to show me the old pads and providing a full assessment...all, thankfully, without breaking the bank. I had both car batteries die the same day. I drove into Neuhaus Service 10 minutes before the opened without an appointment. They didn't have my truck battery in stock, so he said to come back in 90 minutes. I came back in an hour and he swapped it out in 11 minutes.
So I drove home and picked up my car, which also needed a new battery. He had that one in stock. It took him 10 minutes to swap out that one, AND he repaired my hood release AND checked all of 5 of my tires air pressure since the TPMS warning light was illuminated indicating "Low Tire Pressure."

I can not recommend Jack Neuhaus enough. I found him through searching for a reliable mechanic here on Yelp, and my experience was so good that I will only go to him from here on out.

Jack Neuhaus was recommended by Crebassa's Auto Body. I took my Hyundai to him for routine service and examination of an exhaust problem. Jack handled the service well (how he manages to do good work while still fielding calls so politely is a mystery, and should be an inspiration to every other service company out there).
Jack did good work at a fair price, and recommended that I go to the dealer to resolve the exhaust problem (in case it was covered by warranty). This wound up saving me some money. Thanks again, Jack. See you soon.

Stop reading this now, and start looking through the list of reviews for Jack. Do you see ANY that aren't five stars? Nope, neither do I. When we moved to Marin 11 years ago, we had a new Lexus Htybrid SUV and were looking for a mechanic to take care of it. One of our neighbors mentioned Neuhaus and how they had a specialty in Toyota and other Japanese makes. I took the car there for an oil change, and after spending just two minutes talking to Jack I knew we'd found the right place.
