Masters European and Japanese Auto Repair is family owned and operated by Keith Terstegge. Keith took over the business from his father, Jim, who ran it for 40 years. All four of Jim's sons have worked at Masters in some capacity making it a true local family business. Keith, a true car nut, started working at the shop after school at age 9.

Masters European is the best auto repair shop around. Both Keith and Lee treat their customers with such kindness and respect - it's always a pleasure doing business with them. Their prices are honest, they are clear and thorough when breaking down the scope of a job and the mechanics' work is truly excellent. I never doubt the safety of my car because of the solid work they do. If all businesses could be more like Masters, the world would be a better place.

If you are looking for excellent service by highly competent mechanics, look no further than Masters in Mill Valley. They are simply outstanding. In fact, I won’t go anywhere else. So, whenever my car needs service, I drive from San Francisco to Masters in Mill Valley. Service is always performed punctually and the prices are reasonable. If the rest of the world ran the way Masters European does, it would be a fabulous thing. The most important consideration in fine-auto repair is trust, and I have trusted Masters European for years with multiple cars. Keith and the Masters staff have done all servicing and repair of my Porsche 997 since I've owned the car. Recently they completed a complete engine removal and replacement. They also spent over a year of haggling with my warranty company which had a happy ending. In all honesty, I don't know of any other car service shop that would have taken on this project. My old car was dying and needed work. The gentlemen at this shop was communicative, honest, empathic and ultimately advised I get rid of the car when he could have convinced me to do a lot of work for a lot of money. He was honest in telling me how long my car would have left if I did the work, and that he couldn’t guarantee it’s livelihood. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and would come back in a heart beat.
