Services
The School Counseling Ministry is a program offered by Lutheran Counseling Services and designed to place a therapist in non-public schools in the Orlando area. The goal of this program is to help non-public schools thrive as they meet the needs of diverse populations. This is done by offering counseling services to students, families and faculty on campus.
The Ministerial Assistance Program (MAP) of Lutheran Counseling Services, Inc. is designed to help clergy, church workers, i.e. educators, parish nurses, secretaries, etc, and their families cope with the challenges and demands of church life and work. The expert staff of Lutheran Counseling Services can provide help, hope and healing through quality and confidential assistance.
A good coach asks good questions. Scott doesn't provide you with the answers. He helps you discover your own answers by asking direct, thoughtful, and sometimes difficult questions. The result is an intentional plan for action for which you can take full ownership. The menu of services gives you an overview of the variety of ways Scott can partner with you through coaching and consultation.
We now offer the ADOS-II, the gold-standard of autism assessment, for children (ages 4 and above), teens, and adults! Autism is a neurodevelopmental disability that impacts how a person relates to others, processes information, and experiences the world. Many people with autism lead healthy, happy lives, and knowing they have autism can open up opportunities for support, services, and connections.

LCS has been absolutely essential for me. I was referred to them by my wellness center after I graduated college, and I’ve been working with Dave ever since. Dave is a great listener, funny, chill, and has helped me so much on my mental health journey. He’s given me so many tools to help with work/life balance, my relationships, and self love.

I had been looking for a faith-based counseling service and came upon LCS, largely because they take my health insurance. I have experienced a variety of counseling types and really appreciate the approach LCS takes with it's counselors and office staff. I was really excited to get Jim as my counselor and he's been nothing short of fantastic so far. We touched on a huge set of great topics in our first session and I loved his enthusiasm and interest and great questions that got me thinking. I'm looking forward to getting into deeper topics as the weeks go by.
