TJ's Restaurant and Bar has come into the town of Pennington, New Jersey. Once known as TJ's Trattoria, we return back with our Chef's and Management that made us a place to remember. After hearing that our customers missed our delicious food and great service, we decided to make our return. TJ's Restaurant and Bar offers a menu inspired by Classic American dishes fused with Italian Cuisine.

TJ’s has been one of our favorite places to go out and eat for the past few years. The food is excellent and the staff is very pleasant. There is a very cozy atmosphere as well. I have tried a lot of their dishes and have been pleased with many of them. The riggies and the chicken parm are my favorites. Their riggies are served with a red sauce, which is unique, but even more delicious than the usual vodka cream sauce used elsewhere. I highly recommend you give them a try.

One has to accommodate a COVID realm where you might (in respect to guests), protect clients from servers who could be symptomatic. I respect this, and in our early 2021 environment support (and am tolerent) of service being a little lighter than the norm. That said, I adore this restaurant... We savor specials... specials make a frequented restaurant never dull, never norm. Menu staples are stapels, but it is specials that draw me back... this restaurant is among the few that offer truly differentiated specials and tailored dishes. In a normal climate, they make everything seem abundant and effortless

I ordered spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. There couldn’t be an easier order. I got home and there was spaghetti, a blob of meat, and peas. The dinner went right into the dumpster. If you can’t make what I ordered, tell me so I can leave with nothing instead of putting whatever you feel like in a container and sending me home with it.

Had a great time here - first time going with our neighbors for dinner... Sangria is homemade & delicious.
I would recommend the appetizer the meatballs & peas! Our servers name was Will & he was so attentive & anytime we needed anything we didn’t have to wait a beat. The Dijon chicken was incredible - husband had the filet which was melt in your mouth good. Great food & cozy / romantic atmosphere.

Came here for lunch with a group of friends on a Wednesday. Had the scallops with risotto and it blew me away! Glad we found this place we just learned it was back and now my friends and I have a new spot to hang out! Our server was really nice too. We sort of camped out and he didn't mind or try to rush us out.

Visited here for their Happy Hour, as a fellow Happy Hour enthusiast recommended it to me.
I liked their selection of Happy Hour small plate snacks. Each one we tried was tastey and seemed worth the price.
However, I wasn't pleased with the HH cosmo martini I ordered. It tasted mostly of lime juice. I asked to have it made again, hold the lime... and then it mostly tasted of triple sec. Where's the Vodka? It is supposed to be a martini after all. LOL.
The person with me ordered a beer, and he said it tasted of vinegar. As though, perhaps the tap lines had recenyly been cleaned, but then not

We had a large party at TJs the other day and it was AMAZING! The staff was super supportive and attentive. The bartender, despite being hit with at least 20 people all at the same time, remained calm and focused and delivered all of our orders flawlessly. The food was incredibly good and we were even able to package up what we didn't finish to bring home! I have been there 6 times already since they opened, and you can bet I will keep going back for more.
