Originally from South Florida, Donna moved to Incline Village in 1990 to raise her family near beautiful Lake Tahoe.
Tom G. de Bruin, DDS, was born and raised in Livermore, CA, and is a second-generation dentist. He received his bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from CSU Sacramento and is a graduate of the highly regarded program at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
He maintains professional membership in the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, Northern Nevada Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.Because he is passionate about perfecting beautiful smiles, Dr. de Bruin invests extensive time each year in ongoing education so he can help you achieve the smile of a lifetime with the best, most comfortable techniques possible.

Why do I grind and clench my teeth? There can be several reasons someone may grind and clench their teeth. Many people think that is due to stress. Stress can exacerbate the problem; however, it is not the underlying cause. A bad bite (malocclusion), improper joint and facial muscle positions, and breathing problems are all associated with clenching and grinding.
Being a new patient always means completing some paperwork. Don't worry. We've simplified the process. This should save you time and ensure you don't miss anything important. This office was so kind and made me feel super comfortable. After years of avoiding the dentist, I’m excited to go back. So glad I made the choice to come here.
After SEVERAL… trips back, I’m so pleased with this entire office. Everything about the dentist seems so scary but I never once felt scared or experienced any type of pain.

The De Bruin Dental Center was recommended to me by a friend who works in the orthodontist field in the Reno/Sparks area and is very familiar with dental centers in this area. My friend felt De Bruin was the best ... and I have to agree. I am super happy with the work they did to replace one of my front teeth because of discoloring and sensitivity due to old technology (originally broken in an accident 20+ years ago), and replacing my old mercury fillings that we're expanding and starting to crack some of my teeth. The front tooth matches the others perfectly and my teeth look and feel awesome

The main reason I went here was because my previous dentist was so booked up.
I should have waited.
I have had two dentists look at the work Dr De Bruin did and both were appalled.
I am not sure it is even legal for the dental technicians to do as much work as they did on me for my crowns, but the work the dentist did himself was awful.

Staff is great and the office is clean- no issues there. They constantly up-sell, ceramic fillings for kids teeth that will fall out anyway, crown's near twice as much as the national average (near 1700.00), etc. We're once and done for this office. They are shockingly expensive and push too much elective work they sell as needed.

I'm a long time patient and couldn't be happier with the quality work and service that I receive. Their office is conveniently located and nicely decorated. Donna at the front desk is always friendly and most helpful. Dr. DeBruin is the best dentist I've ever done business with. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and has a gentle hand while conducting dental work. I highly recommend him and his office.

Dr DeBruin and the entire staff are awesome beyond words. Doc has kept my TMJ in check for many years and the hygienists in the office have kept my teeth clean and in great shape for many years as well. If it were possible I would rate them all a 10 Star.. I drive from So Lake Tahoe and would never consider changing.
