George's Seafood and Bar-B-Que restaurant is a great year round family eatery nestled in the foothills of the beautiful White Mountains in Plymouth New Hampshire; also home to Plymouth State University. Originally established as the Seafood Center years ago, the restaurant was purchased by a fella named George in 1997.
George's objective was to carry on the tradition of providing area diners with a broad selection of expertly prepared fresh seafood dishes that the landmark Seafood Center had become famous for. George was also personally fond of authentic, slow smoked barbecued ribs so he added some barbecue equipment to the kitchen and began turning out the area's best ribs.

Vacationing in the area last week and brought my family of four to George's. Place wasn't too packed and we were seated quickly. The kids' portions were generous and came with dessert. The BBQ ribs were very tender and pulled pork was flavorful. The downside was that the teriyaki chicken was too salty for our taste. However, we had enough food ordered that it didn't make much of a difference. We couldn't eat any more by the time we left.
Overall, a very nice establishment with great service, friendly staff. Will definitely visit again next time we're in the area. 4.5 stars!

My wife and I are on a Fried Clam Safari, tasting all of the clam/seafood places around the area. Don't know why, but George's came as an afterthought. And it was quite a revelation.
The clams were excellent, crispy, not greasy and flavorful. The price was very good and the service was outstanding.
Pam at the take-out made the experience more than just the food. She made me feel like a valued customer. It is getting rare to deal with someone who is that professional and helpful. Thanks to Pam.
So the question is: If you're on a clam safari and you've had the best, what do you do? My wife had

First time at this wonderful restaurant!
We had the fisherman's platter and the seafood chowder. Everything was excellent! The portions were very generous, with a nice presentation. Best of all, we had a fantastic waitress. Veronica was very patient with our indecisions and questions as to what to order (because lots of menu choices and combos). She didn't mind checking with the chef about special requests. All in all, between Veronica, and our delicious food, it was an extremely enjoyable evening. Can't wait to go back....

We have eaten there a few times. The parking lot is always full. The meals are good. The prices are reasonable. We usually get seafood. The chowder isn't the best we have had, but I get it every time we visit. We have tried several items from the menu. The service is good and so is the food. It's a popular restaurant for a reason.

Good food, great friendly service. Nice choices and the pulled pork & ribs were delicious. The Fried Haddock was perfectly lightly battered and crispy. The onion rings were perfectly battered and whole and crispy. The chocolate madness dessert was yummy as well. Reasonably priced fare too. Nice clean decorated with funny plaques. Lol nice ambiance.

I was so excited about taking my family out to a nice dinner at your restaurant on Friday the 17th of August. We had even made reservations so we wouldn't have to be waiting with a 3 year old. Let me say that didn't even matter to the hostess and waitress. We got there and no one was there and it still took them 15 mintues to sit us WOW.. Once we… sat and ordered out drinks the waitress tells us well I need to check if we even have wine cause there was a big table in the back and they were drinking the wine like crazy but yet she kept walking by and taking them wine but never brought us
