As a former fat guy, and self-proclaimed "work in progress", Steve is the driving force for Dallas Underground Strength & Fitness.

He has made every mistake in the book when it comes to health and fitness in his own life. These are just a few phrases that might describe Rhonda. Rhonda has always been active, but she took it up a notch when she joined the DUSF family in 2015. Since then she has found the joy and benefits of exercising and eating clean not only for herself but for her family.

This implies you'll be running and doing calestitics with someone yelling at you to go faster, harder and longer. That's not us. You won't see us jogging around or running long distances for over an hour like other run-of-the-mill fitness programs or boot camps. Because long, slow, boring cardio has been scientifically proven to have ZERO effect on weight loss over dieting alone.

Fantastic hidden gem. Great variety of equipment, especially if you're like me and abhor "corporate" gyms. Steve is a great trainer, coach etc... NSCA certified, so he knows his stuff. 20/10 would recommend!

One of the best authentic "underground" facility out there! Found Steve and the Dallas Underground Strength & Fitness through Groupon, but there were a TON of fitness/gyms on there, so what narrowed down my search to this location is their mission. They promote whatever YOUR goals are; there's even an orientation you'll have to go through first before attending classes. Within the orientation, you get to identify goals (i.e. weight loss, improved athletic abilities like vertical or agility, toning, conditioning, etc.), and Steve really gets to know you on an individual level. The owner Steve treated me very poorly for coming into orientation late. His attitude was very unprofessional, insulting, and highly unnecessary. I was inconveniencing him and his schedule. To add insult to injury he actually felt entitled to an excuse for my tardiness. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY where you're not a valued customer. Don't waste your time doing business here. He actually told me he's the owner and he can do whatever he want.
