Sundberg Funeral Home
It is the mission of our staff at Sundberg Funeral Home to provide personal service to the families in our community with the highest level of care and compassion. We are committed to being professional, ethical and respectful of the families we serve. Built in 1895 by Mr. John Spafford, the characteristic warmth of a Victorian Era home is noted by many families and visitors.

Extensive use of cut and crystal glass throughout the house, true quarter sawn oak staircase, fireplaces of cherry, oak, and birdseye maple. The ambiance of an era past has been mated with a functionality for those we serve today. We are fully handicap & wheelchair accessible. A passenger elevator is available for those having difficulty with stairs.

My family's experience with Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd. proved to be a nightmare when my mother recently passed away. We were absolutely lied to on numerous occasions by the funeral director himself. Of course, he will deny that to the end. I ask that before anyone uses Sundberg Funeral Home Ltd in Rockford IL, please do your research. And by all means, beware that this man is a narcissist. He tries his best to demean and belittle women after he already has the body of your loved one.
Please do your research.

Warning... Long post, but well worth the read!
My family's experience with Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd. wasn't good...
The mission statement of Sundberg Funeral Home pulled directly from their website:

"It is the mission of our staff at Sundberg Funeral Home to provide personal service to the families in our community with the highest level of care and compassion. We are committed to being professional, ethical and respectful of the families we serve."

We DEFINITELY didn't experience any of that!

This is long overdue. Sundberg did my mom's visitation on May 29,1980. It was handled with compassion for our family. We had a lot of visitors come in to share their condolences with us. We were not rushed out till everyone had their chance to say goodbye to mom & the family. We had another visitation schedule 2 days later & the funeral the next day in Arkansas. Mom did not need no make up. It was good to see her natural color even though it was 3-5 days after she passed. Thank you for the memories I will have with me forever.
