A graduate of Belvedere High School class of 1979 Nikki went on to graduate from NIU with a degree in Geology in 1984. She worked at Savant Capital Management as a paraplanner and at Quiet Light Communications as an account assistant. Mark was kind and a hard worker. He would give the shirt off his back and was loyal to a fault some would say.
A traditional weekday funeral service in our funeral home chapel with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. A basic casket is also included as are other items such as embalming, bringing your loved one into our care and other preparations. We will arrange a Direct Cremation for $250 which includes bringing the infant into our care, the cremation process, county permit and velvet cremation pouch.
You may already realize that we have our own crematory on-site so you have the peace of mind of knowing that someone never leaves our care and that everything is being professionally taken care of here. A Direct Cremation, which includes our basic services, transfer to the funeral home, cremation alternative container and crematory charge, is $1,550.
We pledge to serve your family as we would our own; we treat every person with respect and dignity at all times. Your loved one never leaves our care and every person is given a special identification number that remains with them from the time they enter our care until the time of final disposition.
DEATH IN AN INSTITUTION: When a death occurs at a hospital or nursing home, the medical staff will ask which funeral home you are using and they will notify us for you. ANTICIPATED DEATH AT HOME: Today more people with terminal illnesses are electing to die at home under the care of Hospice. You just need to notify them that Honquest is your funeral home of choice and they will notify us when the death occurs.

First I want to thank the owner and his amazing group of directors for their empathy and honesty.. I’ve lost two children to a very rare disease and both my experiences with arranging services have been exactly how I wanted without any hiccups or greediness involved, money or the need to spend more on this or that was not pressured on me or my family.. We were treated like family and with so much love and care.. I have helped with other arrangements before my own losses and the experiences were completely different and I’m so thankful to Tim and his amazing team for embracing us with love and

My mother-on-law passed away in October. My husband and I contacted Honquest and they made the entire experience stress free, a difficult task in this COVID environment. We live in Florida and we were able to plan everything via telephone and email. A very professional company that we would definitely recommend.

When the saddest day came and we had to say goodbye to my beautiful Mom Tim Honquest and his wonderful business family stepped in and saved our world. We felt empty and lost. Tim himself came in the middle of the night and made her parting from her home so personal. Mom had asked for some unusual requests (including a lavender pearl casket) and Tim filled every request without hesitation. He gave us the time, space and care to celebrate her life in the way that she wanted. Every detail was covered. On a lighter note...minutes before her visitation Tim said “ Her nails aren’t painted!”...

My husband died in a car accident 1 week before Christmas 1997. I was confused and ill prepared to handle this. Tim sat with me and my husbands family and made sure I was well represented. He took control of the situation (thank God) turning a terrible moment into a bearable one. I will always remember how composed, friendly and supportive he was. I recommend him and Honquest Family Funeral Home to everyone and I will always call him in those times of need.

Honquest funeral home took care of my grandmother and did an amazing job. Not only was the space itself comforting and made me feel right at home, but the staff went out of their way to go above and beyond for myself and my family. Dianne took her time with us, to make sure we understood the ins and outs of the arrangements and payments. Then we met with the owner Tim. He was knowledgeable, caring, respectful and walked us through the process step by step. You could tell that he truly cared and wanted the best for our family while being respectful of our budget. Honquest funeral home is affordable

I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Honquest Family Funerals to anyone. Tim was so kind. My dad passed away and Tim remembered the times my dad would walk the dogs and wave. It was like Tim was part of the family. The service couldn't have been more beautiful. My dad got full Military send off. Tim took care of all the details. Thank you so much Tim from myself and the whole family.

I tried to place my response on you testimonial page. It seems you are only willing to include the flattering ones. Tim Honquest of Honquest Family Funeral Homes in Loves Park, Illinois. I would like to address the reprehensible behavior that you displaced at my home this past Sunday morning when my mother passed away. I’m trying to decide which bothered me most:
1. That my husband had to remind you and your assistant to wear a mask when you came into my home. You see there is a pandemic and while we were in shock due to my mother’s unexpected passing, I would have assumed you would know what

My mother passed away a month ago and we held her funeral service at Honquest funeral home, they were so caring and helpful with everything and walked me through the decisions and process step by step. I appreciate the effort they showed in putting together a beautiful service for my mother more than anything during that time in my life!

We chose Honquest for our sons funeral because it had all services in one place. We had never had to do anything like this before so had no idea what to expect. From our first initial meeting with Melissa to the ending of the service and after they showed nothing but compassion and caring. We had a huge turnout and they handled everything amazingly well..standing room only. We thank Melissa and Harold for that. Much appreciation for everything! It was beautiful.

My grandmother's funeral was held at the Roscoe location. The location was easy to find, clean/welcoming and the staff was courteous and professional. While I did not participate in the actual funeral arrangements and set up, as a close family member who attended the funeral, I was very impressed and satisfied with the service conducted at the funeral home by the staff. I would highly recommend this funeral service company to others.

Performance was way above standards! We were guided through the process with the utmost of compassion and professionalism. We were not rushed in our decision making nor were we pressured in anyway. Our family's wishes and desires were followed to the letter. All required government paperwork and notifications were handled by them entirely and in a timely fashion. From what we could ascertain our deceased relatives's remains were handled directly from the hospital through the entire process to cremation and then the ashes placed in the container we had chosen. What a great experience
