Services
There is so much more to an annual visit than just vaccines. A year represents a significant portion of your pet's life, and big changes can happen in that amount of time. Regular checkups, parasite screenings and lab work can help us establish a baseline and identify any changes before they turn into bigger problems.
Janice Newsham is one of a rare breed: a formally educated pet groomer. Not only was she trained to trim and style hair, she was also tested on safe grooming practices and certified in canine CPR. With over twenty-plus years in the grooming industry, she has honed her technical skills and developed a knack for calming the pets she grooms.
We prefer that you call ahead to schedule an appointment, as it will minimize your wait time. We are happy to see walk-ins, but cannot guarantee that they will be seen immediately. Come on in! We do ask that you call and give us a heads up, so we know what to expect and can prepare for any urgent needs your pet may have.

We recently moved to Monroe Street Animal Hospital. Dr. Alissa diagnosed our big boy with an eye issue that we thought had been allergies for YEARS. Our poor big boy had been hurting. He also decided he didn’t need a tail. Every minute of the happy tail, tail amputation, and eye surgery she has been there with us, personally invested in our Sinatra and us. Even after hours and on weekends. You cannot ask for better care. You can’t even get this kind of care with your own physicians!

Ok:) I needed a little TLC for my cats. 15,3 & kitten My 15 year old had a well today. He usually has severe vet anxiety:) Well not today!! He was super comfortable & laying down on the exam table. They were so… lovely. I can truly tell they love their patients. He left smelling like essential oils from being hugged & loved so much. Cannot wait to continue our relationship 😊

I called this place after my dog ate raisins. They kind of blew me off, didn’t see it as a big deal, and told me I could induce vomiting at home if I wanted to. I did what they said to induce vomiting (it didn’t work). Listening to them wasted precious time I could have spent getting my dog real care. FOUR other vets agreed that he needed to be hospitalized because of the circumstances.

Monroe Street Vet is amazing and Dr. Paige Massey is the best. She is a very talented, caring and smart vet. The fees are reasonable while quality of care is truly top notch. The staff are all friendly, remember my dogs and always ask about how they are doing. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Paige and Monroe St. Vet for everything from routine care to complex health issues!!

We absolutely love the staff and Dr.Massey! She not only is kind and enthusiastic, but she gave us the best recommendations to help our pup live a long and healthy life. Every time we see the staff they are friendly and happy. It really does make a difference when you encounter people that genuinely care!!! I can’t thank them enough. We would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone seeking veterinary care for their fur baby💙.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. My family recently moved from franklinton to mandeville and one of our cats has been acting strange so we brought him in for a check up. We were so worried about our… beloved Oscar but he was in good hands with the staff at Monroe animal clinic. Our other 2 cats will be visiting them shortly!

As always, these people are the kindest, gentlest, AND most thorough furry caretakers EVER!!! Very sensitive to my baby's needs, while placating me. They are very astute and they quickly figured out what was going on with my Pearl. They are conservative in treatment and discussed pros & cons before initiating treatments & tests. Love them!

I had the agonizing task of putting my Daisy Jane down yesterday after being her proud momma for 12 years. She survived 4 years past her given 6 months to live due to her bladder cancer diagnosis ( unheard of !) She was one tough cookie, loving life and fighting for it but I knew after her sudden downhill turn that it was time to let her go. I… called a few places and due to COVID , some wanted me to just do like this impersonal “ drive thru euthanasia” on her . Really?! Not good enough. So after several calls, I found the perfect place; Monroe Street Animal Hospital! They are

I am the proud owner of a 120 lb chicken... I mean Great Dane. Her name is Nelly, which is very fitting because she is 100% a “Nervous Nelly”. We recently had our first visit with Dr. Paige and lm not sure that… this little box will leave me with enough room to sing her praises! Nelly would typically hide in the corner, shake and growl the entire visit at our previous vet’s office, but this time with Dr. Paige, it was a compete 180. Nelly did not nervous growl a SINGLE time! She didn’t hide in the corner. She wasn’t shaking out of her skin. She enjoyed every
