Well, it's been a long hard road but we are counting our blessings and they are so many it takes a while. James is doing better and back to work a few hours a week. He is not able to be full time yet, (he is exhausted by noon and dealing with significant nerve pain) but hopefully by July he will be back full-time with light duty.
Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic is delighted to share a wonderful Pet Hero with you all this week. We would like to introduce you to Calypso. Calypso is an almost 4 lbs Kitten with about 400 lbs of character. She is also a very lucky kitten. Her hero is her newly found Family, the Page's.
While driving home on Calypso's life changing day, The Page's daughter saw the travelers in a vehicle in front of her throw a fast food bag out of the their window.Feeling frustrated by the idea of littering, and in this way, Miss Page got out of her car to retrieve the greasy bag. Lo and behold a tiny fuzzy ball of fur came meowing out of it.

Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pet's health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.

We had to go to the vet because my fur baby miracle had diarrhea really bad for a couple days. Shes taken the meds prescribed and is back.to her normal bouncy tiger self. Definatly appreciate the awesome customer service and care for my baby girl. They seem to be very fair priced and concerned. The lady was nice enough to give me a call back the next day and check on her. Would definatly recommend.

Our cat got hurt and a large bump formed on his face. (Scary stuff, his eye was being pushed shut) I called and they did an emergency squeeze in appointment, the same day. They were VERY kind, caring, and informative. Answered all of my questions and explained in detail what was wrong, how they fixed it and gave Kovu antibiotics to help him feel better.
We are so very thankful and grateful.

Update: I was advised by the new clinic I will be taking my cat to to keep an eye on his healing and try to continue care at Fountain Creek until they could see him in a few weeks. When I had to go back to Fountain Creek, Amanda (the owner) apologized for my previous experience as she had seen my review. I felt that we could withstand staying with them until his new clinic visit so Dr. Graf could monitor his healing process as he had performed the surgery. I called Fountain Creek a week after his surgery to express concerns about his wounds and pain, and they said he should be fine but to keep

I brought my dog in to have a cyst removed from her back. I was originally quoted $277 as a high to include an ecollar, pain medication, local anesthesia, pain medication injection and antibiotics. I was charged $398 and didn't even recieve pain medication to take home or an ecollar. This is a extremely large incision for the size of the cyst that was removed. The stitches were shallow and we ended up taking her into the Emergency vet because they came open. The Emergency vet was appalled at the way the stitches were placed and that no pain medication was sent home for the size of the incision

I took my puppy in for his last round of vaccinations today. I had to wait an hour after my appointment time before they finally took my puppy in for his visit. After another hour, they finally brought my dog back to my car. Instead of a friendly "hello," I was immediately scolded by Dr. Graf that I wasn't disciplining my puppy enough. My puppy apparently did not want to hold still for his shots and bit at one of the nurses. Dr. Graf was very abrasive and downright rude. Yes, I understand my puppy is challenging, but he is also 4 months old and was in an

Worst possible vet clinic. We had an amazing vet clinic when we lived in Alabama with an amazing very knowledgeable veterinarian. I've been to this clinic three times bc I was unable to get on post. Every time was a terrible experience. They overcharge and tell me information that has been contradictory to any other information other vets have given me. I was told I need to think about amputating my dogs leg after a nerve injury only one week ago when my dog was showing signs of regeneration. I'm glad I know about nerve injuries and didn't listen to them. I don't recommend this

Found this Clinic when I had a sick puppy and was still very new to COS. I'm happy to say I have found my regular veterinary clinic. Their love for animals truly shows. Dr Graf is a no nonsense doctor concerned about your pet's health. He is more than willing to ask and answer questions no matter how big or small they are. I certainly recommend them any day.

First off let me start by saying this vet is in the middle of a dirt lot and doesn't even have the vet name on the building and looked nasty inside. I went in to get my dogs annual vaccinations and had a horrible experience. My dog has had her annual vaccines before without any issues. She got her rabies, distemper, and Bordetella vaccines along with a heart worm test. After they gave her the rabies shot my dog started freaking out biting at the area. The vet told me this was normal and not to worry. The next day I noticed my dog was very lethargic and her right arm was so swollen. I touched

My five year old ferret, Fiona started vomiting last weekend. I called them today (Monday) and asked if i could get an appointment for today, she said there was nothing open today, then asked what the problem was. I told her, and she asked me to hold.. A couple minutes later she returned and told me she could squeeze me in. I was so relieved! No one ever plans for this stuff, i didn't know what to expect but it was nice to know i was being spared the "emergency" fee most places charge by being granted an appt time. On top of them making time to see her, since vomiting is very serious

This is the best Vet we have ever been to. The staff & Doctors really care. In a time where that seems to be lost, they genuinely care about our family & know that includes our dog- Zeus. They are very friendly & knowledgeable. I trust the Doctors & their advice a lot! Thank you to the whole staff at Fountain Creek Vet.

Dr. Graf is an incredible human being who treats animals as equals. He has cared for my 3 dogs for 7 years at this point. He calls them your "kiddos" and has great bedside manner with them. The most important thing about Dr. Graf is that he isn't greedy and money hungry as many vets are. When we moved to Denver, our chihuahua got sick and 2 local vets said he needed to be kept overnight for observation and that he was in really bad shape. They wanted to charge us $1200 just to diagnose him and keep him overnight. I immediately drove over an hour back to see Dr. Graf, who was able

There are no words to describe this vet. After dealing with a surly and dismissive front desk and office staff, I was brought back to wait for the vet. He came back, and after finding out I am expecting my first child, I was greeted by a long rant about vaccines, fluoride, and the rates of autism. That's right, Dr. Graf, a man who went to veterinary school, is a science denier (he even has books in his waiting room that attempt to deny evolution). He did no organ exams or palpations on any of my pets and didn't check the cat's teeth at all--when my cat hissed at him, he said he had

This is the vet Mom's dog Sashi goes to, and they are always super friendly and nice! The price isn't too shabby, either. My Mom's dog is super anxious and the vets are always amazing with her. Dr. Graff is so nice! He was super friendly and sweet to my Mom, who has COPD. The place is small, but clean. You can tell the staff really cares about their patients and their owners. If you are in the Springs area I would say definitely check this place out!

I have never had worse experiences with a vet clinic before in my life!!
First bad experience:
I brought in my dog who had been struck by a car right after we moved here, she was paralyzed from the waste down and had no control of her bowels. I came in, alone, with my 2 year old, carrying a 70 lb rottweiler who was paralyzed and not ONE person offered to help me when they could see I was clearly struggling. We had an appt and were put into the exam room. An HOUR goes by, nothing..so I walk out and am told the doc was in emergency surgery. Ok, but how come nobody came in to tell me? So I wait

I am so beyond upset with this vet! We took our new puppy here because I had heard good reviews. EVERY time I call to get an appt. I get put on hold for a ridiculously long time. The place feels dirty. I feel like I need to bathe my pup and myself when we are done. We sit and wait forever at each appt. And that's not even the worst part. My pup was 10 weeks old on her first visit. They told me she needed to come in every 3 weeks for shots until 4 months old. which was today. today they told me I was required to get bordetella and flu vaccines if I ever wanted to take her to a groomer

I do not recommend this vet and I will never go back. They're a bunch of rude, condescending people, who are not willing to listen to the owners about what is actually going on with the animal, instead just throwing out a convenient reason as to why the animal may be ill, and sending you on your merry way after taking your money. Now I have to go to a different vet and get my animal seen for a second time and pay a second vet bill because the vet was too busy talking over us and not letting us get a word in the entire time, just repeating a diagnosis that was based on something that had absolutely

The service there is fantastic. There was barely any waiting, the vet is very caring and didn't try to run many costly unnecessary tests. I got my cat "Mikuni" checked, diagnosed, and well on our way home. I recommend them to all my friends, and any one looking to find an affordable caring vet. They get my 5 stars and I will be going to them during my stay in Colorado Springs. They also offer a military discount.
