A Colorado Springs native, Dr. Monica Campos graduated in 1997 from with a B.S. in Microbiology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001 from Colorado State University. Following vet, school Dr. Monica returned to the Colorado Springs and has lived and worked in the area for 15yrs. In 2014 Dr. Monica purchased Ridgewood Animal Hospital.

Vet seems bothered anytime I've gone. My dog deeply lacerated her paw. It clearly needed stitches. She told me it didn't, charged me $165 to wrap it and antibiotics and a "mandatory" rabies shot. One week later, my dog still has a gaping wound I am trying to manage with at home butterfly bandages, and coban now. I've given several chances (countless, but trying to stick with one primary), but this was the last straw. If you care about your dog, don't go here. Find a vet that actually cares about your dog half as much as you do. This lady ain't it!!!! Photos for reference. Before and after a week

Recently adopted a German shepherd 12 week old puppy and had him for about a month before he started crying in pain. I took him to the Ridgewood animal emergency hospital which was busy at the time but we were seen within 30 minutes of arriving. I had a diagnosis within 10 minutes of being seen and it was Horrible news. I was given the option of emergency surgery which would cost me over $10000 to start. The doctor was painfully honest and told me that the surgery would do no good at this point. The hospital made him very comfortable and I was very pleased to see that he was no longer in pain.

Jack has never liked vets since he was a puppy. You made him feel comfortable. He hardly takes treats and eats it. Jack took and ate it in the room, I was surprised. He was happy to back in the room with his mama and sis.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. I had to get my dog in asap and tried everywhere in Pueblo, and we luckily were able to find this clinic to bring her. We came from out of town and were able to get her in. They treated my dog and me amazing. Unfortunately we had to schedule a euthanasia, but trusted this veterinarian and made the drive back. They treated my baby with such love and care and made sure we were completely ready and taken care of. I was able to get her ashes back today and they put so much thought and love into her memorial box. I would recommend this clinic to anyone with pets

I started going to Ridgewood 40+ years ago when husband and wife Drs Christy’s began their practice. They have treated every dog I have ever owned. It’s now under new management. I can no longer recommend them. I have a 15 year old Pomeranian/sheltie mix. He has arthritis, heart murmur, crushed trachea, and occasional gingivitis. They prescribed… rimadyl for his arthritis. It worked great for awhile but eventually it wasn’t enough. He was starting to suffer I asked for something more to help. I was told there wasn’t anything else. I friend gave me some CBD. Wow it

I’ve been taking my boy here for almost 3 years, staff is always incredibly friendly! My fur baby isn’t always the friendliest or most outgoing, but they are always patient with him and understanding of his… fears and anxieties. He’s had 2 procedures done here and I always give them the green light to do whatever is medically necessary, I’ve never experienced the Dr. doing unnecessary treatments just to add extra to the bill. I will be very sad when I PCS and have to find a different vet because this group is wonderful! Thank you all!
