Your kids can learn to punch and kick anywhere, but if you want them to learn self confidence, respect, responsibility, and so much more Denda is where you want them. It has been a privilege to watch my boys grow up under the guidance of the amazing staff at Denda Academy. They have become a part of our family and I couldn't imagine life without them.

Our five year old Son Corban has been going to Denda Academy as a “Little Ninja” for about six months. I can’t say enough about the quality of the leadership there. Master D and his wonderful wife run it. They have about five instructors who are probably in their young 20’s and they are sharp, good kids who teach the principals we try to teach, but he listens to them better than he does to us. Haha. It’s a great balance of fun, work, focus and disciple.

Denda is absolutely incredible. They don’t just show up and teach different routines. They truly get to know your child and meet with you to see what you’re looking for. Confidence, discipline, leadership, bullying, etc. When you sign up you choose what is best going to benefit your child. I was also really impressed with how they instill respect each session. I have never seen any kids feel left out either. Their coaches are phenomenal. The price is really affordable especially for the quality.

We have been at Denda Academy for almost 2 years. I have watched my son grow such love for martial arts and his instructors. We didn’t know anything about martial arts before walking through their doors and we are so glad that we did! Denda teaches so much more than martial arts. They are passionate about instilling discipline, respect and confidence to all their students to help them in all aspects of life.

When we first had our son attend Denda it seemed fine, everyone was respectful and attentive. The first thing that concerned me was not being able to walk back and see what they are doing or see who is caring for them. To Us this is not right, why prevent anyone from viewing the environment or activities. We and other parents have been concerned about the lack of supervision, and care. This is why we are no longer attending Denda. We made the mistake in believing in Denda and the structure they present. My son was exposed to older children that picked on the younger ones and blamed the younger

We absolutely love working with Denda Academy. Since the first day my son started with them he has been totally excited about coming and learning more. Not only has he gained a lot of self confidence and self discipline, but he's also built many friendships. The staff is great and my wife and I enjoy watching as the instructors work very well with the kids and do a great job of helping them as they learn. I highly recommend Denda Academy.

Denda has such a unique and exciting atmosphere for learning!! My son Max has been coming here for the last 5 months and absolutely loves it! It's given him a wonderful opportunity to grow socially, mentally, athletically, and encourages him to be responsible and accountable for his actions. He leaves excited to move and play more at home too! The instructors are very motivating, give instructions in a constructive and positive way, and have so much energy! More people need to take advantage of their awesome learning environment!

When we started thinking about putting our 4 year old son in martial arts, my husband did extensive research and narrowed it down to Denda Academy because of its rave reviews. We tried it out and after the very first day we were so impressed! I’ve never seen my son happier, he felt so included and was so excited by the end of class. There are 4 instructors for the Little Tigers class, so the teacher to student ratio is pretty high and there’s a lot of one on one! Some days the classes are larger and other days they are smaller, and that’s because there is so much flexibility in the classes

We've been coming to Denda for almost two years now and love it! Each one of the instructors is so helpful and kind to my son and he loves each one of them. He was very shy before and we picked this activity at random but it's turned out to be something he loves and wants to see all the way through to black belt.

We just signed up this week. Went to a free trial class & knew this was the place for us. Very encouraging to the kids, in a loving environment. The kids are learning while having fun. The facility is clean. The values are spot on. They encourage the kids to do their best in everything. They expect them to give respect to their parents & elders even outside of the school. My son was encouraged his first night because he was able to earn his first white belt. We love it.

Our son is 6 and he has been attending the Denda Academy for about six months. We learned of "Denda" from a classmate who had a birthday party there. We did a week trial and our son really enjoyed doing martial arts [ninja turtles ;) ] and we liked that he was learning the art of self defense. In addition, he is also learning life skills such as respect, focus, confidence, obedience (ex. listening the first time); just to name a few. He has also learned valuable techniques for 'stranger dangers' and different ways to handle 'bullying'.

You can't find a better martial arts school in Utah. Whether you are an adult, a kid, a black belt or a beginner, Denda will make you feel at home. Both my son and myself attend classes twice a week and it's something we look forward to all the time.
Why is Denda superior? First of all, it's not a chain or a corporation, but a family-owned business. Best martial arts school in Utah!! I remember my first class there when I was 7 I was scared and had no idea what to do when I first got there but as soon as I got on the mat I felt right at home. Everyone welcomed me and made me feel comfortable to be there. Soon they became a second family to me. Everyone is very nice but also hardworking, disciplined, and picky but in a good way. They teach you the right way to do the moves and make sure that you do them perfectly. The instructors are top notch. Their 2 sayings are "To do is to become." Which is what Denda means in Korean and

Denda Academy recently hosted our daughter's birthday party and did such a phenomenal job our friends and family members are still talking about it! They took care of everything from decorations to clean up and facilitated really fun games and activities. I was impressed with how smoothly everything ran, especially considering we had a large group of mixed ages. My daughter was surprised and honored to be given the samurai sword she cut her cake with. All the kids had a blast and were excited to break a real board! It was a stress free way to throw an awesome birthday party for a really great

My two boys have been attending Denda Academy for a little over three years. It has been amazing to see how my boys have increased in both confidence and discipline while attending the academy. My boys love the instructors and they are always excited to go to class. The instructors not only are master instructors of martial arts, but they are also master instructors of life lessons. The instructors teach the students how to respect others, especially parents. My boys always listen intently and follow through because they know their rank advancement is dependent upon me and my wife telling the instructors

What an amazing school Denda Academy is. There is no better place for children to learn respect, confidence and focus. Master Dutson is an amazing teacher and he genuinely cares about his students and his school. I cannot say enough good things about his school. If you want to be the best you need to learn from the best and I can honestly say this Denda academy is the best.

Denda Academy is a great place to learn martial arts. They have very knowledgeable instructors that will not only teach your children but motivate them to try their hardest and help them to become their best. Their curriculum is very dynamic and geared to help your children to become well rounded black belts. Along with learning martial arts, students at Denda Academy also learn focus, dedication, confidence, respect for themselves and others, perseverance, team work, and much more. There is a great sense of unity and belonging for all those that train at Denda Academy. If you want your children

I took some Tae Kwon Do lessons when I was a teenager. When my own son was a "pre-teen" we started him at Denda (then Kim's Academy) and were very pleased with his instruction and progress and so finally I re-started as an adult. While I am jealous of the flexibility of the younger students and several of the other adults, it is really fun to relieve stress and learn new skills. I highly recommend Denda Academy of Martial Arts.
