I am Susan Adams, licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed professional counselor, in private practice for over 41 years. My best credential is that I have been married for 43 years and have raised one daughter, numerous cousins, and am currently owned by two wonderful Boston Terriers.

Please call me before you call anywhere marriage counselors in the Atlanta area, so that we can talk about what you should expect from your therapist and from therapy (404) 698-3699.I have been married for over 40 years and I use that experience and knowledge to help with struggling marriages.
Services
Susan Adams developed my Universal Truths over my 43+ years of practice. I once flew to San Juan to board a Celebrity Cruise ship where I was guest lecturing about relationships. One of the flight attendants came hurrying down the aisle of the plane before take-off. She said, I would recognize your voice anywhere!
Please call me before you call anywhere else in the Atlanta area, so that we can talk about what you should expect from your therapist and from therapy (404) 698-3699. I look forward to speaking to you. Family members don't have to be a part of the problem when someone is having difficulty, but they are often part of the solution.
I provide supervision in marriage and family therapy to students who want to be licensed in the State of Georgia or credentialed by The American Association for Marriage and Family therapy or The Association for Professional Counselors of Georgia. Supervision may be done through conversation about cases, audio or video taping, or by bringing a couple or family to my office so that we can see them together.
Susan loves what she does and it shows! We didn't know how to talk to each other so we couldn't resolve anything. She taught us the skills of solving problems in ways we never knew and really helped us save our marriage! She stayed in touch with us by phone when we needed her. That was new for us and it made a big difference!
The aim of my website is to provide you with understanding and help. Please feel free to call me (404) 698-3699 if you have questions or would like to set up an appointment. My experience is that even though infidelity is NoT the fault of the partner, once the infidelity is discovered and the secrets exposed, couples progress.

We appreciate Susian's dedication, wisdom, and sense of humor! We tried several therapists before we found her. Thank goodness we did find her! She saved our marriage!

Susan has been an enormous help in teaching us how to make our relationship so much better and stronger. No one has taught us the tools we need. She has been wonderful at teaching us WHAT To DO with our feelings instead of just TALKING about them! We appreciate her so much.

Even though I am now in my early 80s, I think it is still a wonderful thing to see Susan for therapy. She is thoughtful, kind, and has helped me in my quest (never-ending!) in searching through my life for the sources of my resilience. Thank you, Susan!

I am so appreciative for Susan's support over our time together. I was so lucky to find her when my marriage fell apart. I was three thousand miles from home and clueless. I was grateful for her help to see that relationship more clearly and my part in it's end.
I also appreciate that Susan agreed to continue our talks when I returned home. It made that transition so much easier and smoother.
If that wasn't enough, she agreed to see me at a reduced rate which helped me financially!
Thanks to Susan's help and guidance, I feel hopeful and confident in this next chapter of my life.

Susan Adams is in the business of helping couples stay together. Marriage isn't for people who lack accountability. A relationship takes work. It requires regular maintenance no different than our bodies, our homes, or our vehicles. We all enter a relationship with some baggage, and Susan helped us sort through ours. We are eternally grateful for Susan's role in our life. If you desire peace in your home, an honest relationship, or tools to communicate with your spouse without reservation, Susan is worth the investment. Forever is a long time, and divorce shouldn't be an option.

I have known Susan for almost 12 years. During this time, she has helped me with marriage counseling, parental advice and self empowerment. I enjoy sitting with her and talking with her, and I have always felt that she is listening to me and understanding the issues I 'burden' her with. When her adorable Boston Terriers join us, they are a comfort as well - they help me relax and are more like therapy dogs than a well loved pet.
Susan has always given me sound advice; and has recommended great articles, books and professionals to me - for furthering my understanding and knowledge of the many situations

Susan has been my therapist for over ten years. At first, she was helping me with issues in my marriage. Once my marriage improved, we continued therapy to help me deal with some family issues and anxiety and depression.
Today, my 20-year marriage is stronger than ever, and I have made great strides in my personal development. I credit Susan with truly saving my marriage and the immense amount of improvement I have made.
Susan has always made me feel important and that she is concerned about my well-being. She calls to check in and spends extra time when needed. She listens to you and understands

We highly recommend Susan Adams’ practice. After 6 years of marriage we found the need for a therapist and were so lucky to find Susan. She is patient, insightful, and informative. As you would expect she is a great listener, but also provides research-based feedback. Susan has helped save our marriage and teach us ways to deepen our relationship. We have never seen a therapist before and were worried about a clinical and critical environment. Susan is warm and patient. We love how she provides time for us to talk to her and to each other. Our sessions are such a relief and we always leave her
