I make it my personal mission to create photos that will take you back to the moment in a real, meaningful way. I'm based in Bellingham, WA, and I've shot hundreds of weddings across the country over the years, from Seattle to Chicago to New York. Next up: Paris, France! Way back in high school, I bought myself a 35mm Ricoh SLR and somehow figured out how to use the light meter.
It's my personal mission to create wedding photos that will take you back to the moment in a real, meaningful way. I'm based north of Seattle, but I travel for about 20% of my weddings every year - especially to Chicago and New York. No matter where you live, you probably have one thing in common with all of my clients: you want meaningful wedding photos that capture real connection and authentic joy.
The engagement session was a total blast but the real fun came at the wedding. Sarah made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. The pictures turned out amazing and during the solo session she was so complimentary and kept my confidence up. For examples, while we were driving to the (completely outdoor) wedding venue, it was pouring.

Where do I begin? Sarah is an outrageously brilliant photographer and I don't think I can write this review without crying. We fell in love with Sarah's style while looking at photographers' websites online. She uses natural light so masterfully and captures movement and life in her photos. We knew that photography was one of the few things on which we would not compromise...we wanted the best to help us remember our day.

My husband and I can't express enough how lovely it was working with Sarah on our wedding day!!! We live in NYC but had a destination wedding in Bellingham. We are both visual artists and took a long hard look at photographers in the Pacific Northwest. We liked how Sarah documented rather than staged photographs during the course of the day. Sarah is not only an incredible photographer, she is an amazing person. Every picture taken captures the action and beauty of the moment. The photos pop with superb lighting, excellent backdrops, and the subjects' personalities. Sarah took our engagement and wedding photos. We were impressed during our first meeting with her by her portfolio and genuine kindness.

Sarah was an AMAZING wedding photographer. She is incredibly professional, hard-working and so much fun to work with. Never having hired a photographer before, my fiance and I had a ton of questions and Sarah was ready to answer all of them quickly and very sweetly (even though I am sure she gets those same questions daily). Deciding to work with Sarah for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made (if not the best). From the moment I met her and we sat down to discuss my vision for the wedding pictures, she made me feel so comfortable. Sarah flew into Chicago for our engagement pictures (and for my friend's wedding the next day). My husband and I wanted our puppy, Watson, incorporated in the engagement pictures. Watson certainly did not like staying still during the pictures, but Sarah was so patient with the process and we ended up getting some fantastic shots, one of which we used for our Save the Date. She did an amazing job capturing our proposal. Had K not pointed her out after popping the question, I never would have known she was there taking pics of us! In fact, when he pointed to her, my immediate instinct was to think that she was one of our friends because she waved and looked so friendly.
Not only was Sarah kind and responsive throughout the communication process of setting things up for the big surprise, but another plus was the option to pay via credit card online.

Sarah was probably the most organized and easy to work with vendor out of all of my wedding vendors. Her photography is super-amazingly-awesome and totally captures the entire essence of the event. She is very relaxed while working with you as a couple or a family of 30 including 4 generations. She made a point of writing down photos and parts of the wedding that were really important to me and captured every one of them.
