Pam Ratliff installed my sisterlocks and she was amazing! From the consultation to the appointment she was flexible with my schedule. She is very professional and has a passion for what she does. She answered all my questions throughout the process. The salon is beautiful, and the luxury chair the salon owner Michelle had installed was above and beyond! I am new to this area and had been looking for a salon that was more in line with the services and ambiance I was accustomed to. Based on the reviews I read along with professionalism I booked my first appointment with Michelle. I was pleased with how well she could cut and style my hair. Michelle is so pleasant, and has the ability to make you feel you definitely want to return to J Jireh hair salon. I have already booked several Appts!!

I’ve been looking for a stylist who is great with not only styling but also “cutting” hair. Michelle gave me a relaxer, cut and color and I could not be happier. She did it just as I asked and the cut is so on point it will look good even when it’s not styled. Her salon is very clean and cozy. If you are looking for a professional stylist please check her out. You will not be disappointed.

My personal experience was so so. The ending style was nice and the salon was clean. The process from beginning to end was a headache. My appointment was cancelled a hour before (which I didn't see because I was already in route to the destination) yet it is required that you give a 24 hour notice. The stylist was VERY rough with my hair and doesn't seem to work with much natural hair. I recommend a little more professionalism and training for the services offered. I really like to support black owned businesses, but the lack of tact cannot be ignored. I was charged far more than what was mentioned

I just recently got my hair done here and I loved every bit of it. Michelle is very nice and she did an amazing job on my hair. She definitely won me over.❤️❤️

Heard great things about Michelle, however being that we recently relocated and depended on referrals for new salon stylists, we have been very disappointed. We cannot get a call or text back to schedule an appointment. The voicemail encourages a text which we did over a week ago. Thinking she's busy, we called two days ago leaving a voicemail. Still nothing.
Courtesy goes a long way, even a call to say you're not accepting new clients would be respected. No call. No return text (as requested by your voicemail) is rude and unprofessional.

I am new to the area, so shopping the web for a hairdresser was challenging for me! Not only did Michelle LISTEN to what I was saying over the phone, she proved her work is just as good as the pictures. Her products are the best, she is gentle on your head, yet effective (my hair is thick).
Her professionalism and conversation were JUST RIGHT. Although I wasn't the only client present, there was more than enough distance between us in the salon. My appointment was scheduled for 4pm. I was in the chair by 4:10pm & out of the chair with my new do by 5:03pm! That is EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING

As I said in my previous review, we drove from the Permian Basin to get my 13 year old daughter's hair done at J Jireh's Hair Salon. We recently made another trip there. My daughter is very tender-headed and very picky about letting anyone touch her hair. Again, we were very satisfied with the results. I feel blessed to have found this place! We will be back.

September 20, 2019. I was looking for a new hair dresser and I found this place on Yelp. Tonya was my hairstylist for my first appointment. She did a great job on my hair. She took her time and explained everything she did to my hair, plus answered all of my questions. I really enjoyed the vibe of the hair salon. All the customers has great conversations while we were getting our hair done. This place has a warm, welcoming, and friendly vibe. I found my new hair dresser and will be a repeat customer.

I am new to TX having moved from PA. I really needed to find a salon that could style my short thin hair. I googled black hair salons in the area and J Jireh's was one that came up. I looked at the pictures and read the reviews and was very interested because most of the styles were short hair and styled like I like it. I was in the area so I stopped by the salon to let the stylist see my hair. I met Michelle. She looked at my hair and assured me she could style it. I made an appointment and couldn't be happier. She styled my hair to make it look fuller. I was used to doing my own relaxers

I am new to the area and made an appointment after hearing of Michelle's work. I waited 1 month for this appointment. I get there on time and see about six other women there getting services. I sit for about 15 min and then hear from
Michelle she cannot do my requested service for 1 hour! Why even use an appointment schedule app if you cannot accommodate your customers. I was so upset I just got up and left without saying a word. Horrible customer service and time management. I needed my hair done to look nice for a new job I am starting. Now I have to figure out what to do with my hair.

J Jireh's Hair Salon is the place to go if you're looking for an expert beautician for African American hair. Michelle is a master stylist with over 25 years of experience and it shows. She is always professional, timely, and pleasant. Her shop is clean and I leave every time with a beautiful cut that gets plenty of compliments. Definitely recommend!

Years ago I was diagnosed with Sjorgren's disease which unfortunately has caused me fatigue, dry eyes, dry hair and arthritis. Over the years I noticed hair breakage that was dry/brittle and experienced massive hair loss. Saddened by my hair loss, with a friend's recommendation I decided to take my hair short so that I wouldn't focus as much on the breakage.
