If I could give them more stars, I would! I have used this clinic and Dr Brett for almost 5 years now and will never switch. He's always super understanding and takes time to let my dogs open up to him before even starting his exam. He's come in for a few emergencies for me as well after hours when he didn't have to. My dogs love him and his staff. You can't find a better vet in town!

I love Bluestem! They take excellent care of peoples animals. If your animal is there overnight they call and update you with everything they do.. I saw some people griping about pricing-- all vets are expensive,- but the peace of mind knowing they take great care of my baby, is worth it for me!! Thanks Dr. Koontz and staff!

We were DEFINITELY nervous about bringing in our pet and leaving her overnight. Though the staff was busy, they weren't pushy about us handing her over, and it was obvious they knew what they were doing.
They explained the procedure and answered EVERY question we had. The vet even called us that afternoon to let us know how she was doing and I was impressed that he questioned why her nails were longer than they should have been. He even asked how she got her name! Wish this place would have offered us a payment plan rather than needing $ 350-400 upfront, we have 4 kids and 1 on the way, we live paycheck to paycheck and we dont get food stamps so after Bill's rent and food is put on the table we dont have much $ left over so because I'm POOR and not able to give $ today i was turned away with advice and 2 hours later Romeo passes away! RIP romeo

Bluestem Animal Clinic is AMAZING!! The doctor is very personable and caring. Takes the extra time to discuss anything everything about your pet! Even returned a phone call with a question about the dog without an appointment one time! The prices are INCREDIBLY REASONABLE. And I have recommended the clinic to anyone and everyone who is looking for a vet. It’s worth the 20min drive for us, and if we move further west, we’d still drive an hour for Dr. Brett.
