Carrollwood Blackbelt Academy is one of the most advanced training 7000 sq ft Tae Kwon Do martial arts center in the Tampa Bay Area since 1999 and is one of the first Martial Arts After-School Tae Kwon Do programs established in the Tampa Bay area. We only promote twice a year, and our students must meet a minimum age requirement for their testing.
Many of our black belt teens began when they were 5 years-old, and many years later, they are still active with us. So come and see our students and judge the school by their performance and not what's on the wall of the instructor's offices. Carrollwood Black Belt Academy is one of the first daycare After School Martial Arts programs established in 1999 in the Tampa Bay area. Students are escorted and transported from several elementary schools (see list below). Little Dragons focuses on improving Pre-School children's listening and building confidence, self esteem, concentration, discipline while improving co-ordination skills. Give your child the best possible start in life: The Little Dragon's program is specifically designed for 4 to 6 year olds, with the emphasis on having fun, learning life skills and self-defense through Martial Arts.
The Demo Team encourages the students to excel in their learning capacity mentally and physically. Tryouts for the Demo Team are held three times a year. Most of the students maintain an A and B average grade in their schools and have excellent conduct at home and outside our school. After joining the team, the students train in musical & weapons forms, as well as choreographed fighting scenes.
As a dedicated student of the martial arts I will develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that could reduce my mental growth or physical health. I will use what I learn in class constructively and defensively to help myself and my fellow man and never be abusive or offensive. This is a black belt school, we are dedicated, motivated, we are on a quest to be the best.
Came to USA in 1990 from France, studied Shotokan, Judo there and in the USA he studied Jujitsu, Aikido and finally Tae kwon Do and earned his black belt with I.T.F and W.T.F. Sensei Jean-Louis Miranda and Sensei Tim Lay started their relationship as friends, then became best friends who turned into partners, and then finished as brothers-in-law.
