It all began in 1952, when Marie started making slipcovers, draperies, and bedspreads from home, for relatives. Then, in 1956, her husband Don decided it was time to join her and open a custom drapery workroom. In 1957, Don & Marie opened a small shop in Belleville with 2 employees. Over the next decade, they had to keep moving into larger quarters
