Presently owned and operated by Erik Gilkey, Davis Wallbridge Inc. was founded in 1922 by Davis Douglas Wallbridge. Mr. Wallbridge had moved from Canada to Solvay NY as a twenty year old construction laborer. After purchasing a small fleet of flat bed trucks, he was contracted through the Crucible Steel Company of America to haul steel from the Solvay
