In 1957 Maria Regina High School was proposed by Cardinal Spellman and opened, temporarily, in what is now our convent. The Sisters of the Resurrection were tasked with founding the first Archdiocesan girls' high school in Westchester County, which they did with love and devotion. Maria Regina has, and will continue to be a stronghold of Catholic education
