Amber is so wonderful and did an amazing job on my hair. She also thoroughly educated me on how I should be caring for my hair at home, something I really appreciated. You can tell hair is truly her passion! I also spoke with Brooke about possibly getting some extensions in the future and she was super sweet & very knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back soon!

I had my first visit last week and will absolutely be a regular customer. After years of driving to high-end salons in little Italy and downtown La Jolla, I appreciate the convenience and easy-access of Radar's location. The space is meticulously clean, extremely spacious/airy (important feature for health/safety considerations) high-end and tastefully appointed - the vibe is lively and fun. The personnel are professional, talented and super engaging. Brooke does beautiful work (I have long hair that was badly in need of attention).

I was aware of the risks of bleaching my hair but I thought with these hair professionals who give you a lot of details of the Do's and Don'ts that they would know when I've bleached my hair too much or when to stop. I ended up with a chemical cut. Patches of short hair in different places.
In one of my appointments after rinsing my hair, when they went to dry and comb out my hair I noticed a ton of hair coming out. She took my hair and gave it to one of the helpers who pocketed into her apron and said nothing.

Went to Radar Salon after a year of home coloring and Ha Vie was amazing at bringing my hair back to life! She was very efficient, talked me through the whole process, provided lots of great tips on how best to care for my hair and was a real pleasure to spend so many hours with! The salon is also a very welcoming environment, very clean, professional and you can tell everyone working there was happy! Looking forward to bringing my daughter for her day of hair TLC! I got my hair done at Radar Salon by Havi. Let me tell you, the service was 1000000/10 . She was super cool and patient with me the whole process. I loved the vibe she gave me and she was super duper sweet. If you want nice hair, with good vibe, with cute people.... RADAR SALON IS WHERE U SHOULD GO. This girl needs a raise. I saw Ha-Vi yesterday for highlights and I’m definitely going to start seeing her long-term!! She’s so kind and knowledgeable. Not only did she recommended amazing products, she addressed my scalp concerns, hair maintenance, and why some products may not be good for my hair type and itchy scalp! It was a lot of info so she kindly explained them a second time :) I’ve never had a salon explain so in depth about this information, and I greatly appreciate it. I hiiiiiighly recommend Ha-Vi!

I came across this salon on Yelp when I was looking to bring my hair back to life. I was seen by Ha Vi and she exceeded my expectations! She took her time and walked me through the whole process including hair care. I came in with dark box dyed hair and hoped she could try a caramel brown on me. Needless to say it’s better than what I anticipated and my hair still feels healthy even after adding highlights. Definitely recommend coming here! The entire staff is professional, kind, honest, and really chill!

I had highlights and I got tired of it, so I had Heather color it darker. I really like how it turned out!! She also gave me a haircut! My hair used to look like a Filipino broom but now its healthier, and I like looking at myself more. She's new at doing hair but would totally recommend her.

Her hands are MAGIC! She really takes the time to listen to what you want and will give you realistic expectations. Kris is professional and knowledgeable in her field. She will also teach you how to take care of your hair after too. I've never had a stylist who genuinely cared about their customer like Kris! She is delightful and brings light to the salon!
Overall, everyone at the salon was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I noticed that the teamwork is superb and the work environment is fun and hip! The owner, Isaac, is super nice too! Not to mention hilarious!

I haven't had my hair done in such a long time (maybe 3+ years) and I've been looking for a salon close by. I chose Ha-Vi to do my hair and she gave me exactly what I wanted. lol no but seriously Shawn is a new addition to the team and I had the pleasure of him assisting my girl Brooke. I felt pampered and honored to have 2 AMAZING stylists working on my new do!!!
Let me start by giving a huge shout out to Brooke, because she has helped me get to a beautiful rich multi tone brown that I've been searching for. She's rad and I would recommend her to everyone!!!

Always a good time getting my hairs done! Everyone is so friendly and professional. Isaac and his team do a great job of making me look and feel cool with my naturally dark hair it's very difficult to lighten it in a healthy way that looks very natural and grows out well. When I met Isaac I had bright orange hair from a salon trip that had gone awry my hair was red for one day and then turned bright orange afterwards and it was super unhealthy and dried out and brittle. Isaac understands my lazy hair tendencies and gives me a wash and go look that I can maintain between appointments.

Ha-Vi is AMAZING!!!! A natural talent doing hair. Made my blonde dreams come true with an amazing root blend. Super sweet and gave me lots of tips on how to manage and keep my hair healthy. Also the other stylist and staff seemed very friendly around me. Anddddd there is free parking right out front! No need to struggle to find parking in a spot long enough. Definitely a must!

I got my hair cut and colored here October of 2020 by Brooke and Kris. They really nailed it. It was my first time ever. I had checked out the salon on Instagram for a few months before booking. I live out of state but visit family in San Diego. I am now 9 months out and have gotten two cuts since then and the color STILL LOOKS AMAZING. If I ever color my hair again, I will for sure be back. The salon is laid back and they really do an outstanding job. It did go blonde, but it did so in a pretty way that didn’t look brassy or weird as it grew out.

When you find a good hairstylist, you keep going back to them! My stylist, David, has been doing my hair for years and I followed him when he started at Radar Salon. This is both a review of David as a hairstylist and of the salon itself.
David has a way with hair color! He is so precise and my color always turns out so polished when he is done. He communicates exactly what he's doing through the whole process from consultation, color mixing, and as he's applying it. Radar Salon is everything you want in a salon. Isaac, the owner, has made Radar feel like an escape full of friendly/good energy stylists, excellent customer service from the initial booking to checkout, fun atmosphere, and the best (and affordable) smelling hair products to exist!
Every time I come here I feel like I have my own personal glam squad!

SALON/COVID PROTOCOLS
The salon in general was really spacious and clean. Hand sanitizer was easily accessible throughout, everyone was social distanced, and they even provide you a medical mask (so your personal mask doesn't get dirty with color)

I found out about Ha-Vi from a friend, and she was super helpful from the start! She made sure to thoroughly go over my hair goals/ history and set expectations beforehand, which I really appreciated. I wanted dimensional blonde for a brighter, low maintenance look and was not disappointed

During the pandemic, I enjoyed the fact that I did not have to talk to people and keep my distance. As you can imagine, I had to mentally prepare myself in order to socialize with new humans. Kris made my introverted, anxious self feel right at home and welcomed! I literally left the salon saying "I feel a wonderful friendship forming here!!" I do not regret leaving my house after 9 long months.

The fact that I found this salon accidentally on Yelp and then decided to place my entire trust into them for my first ever salon-colored hairstyle..... I'm just on 100. My hair has been through it with me from perms, box dyes, to split ends. You name it, I HAD it. Kris (@queenkris_ on ig) took the risk with me to do this complete 180 transformation, and I love her for that. She was so patient, thorough, and supportive. Last time I got my hair done was maybe a year and a half ago. Especially with COVID going on, I never got around to taking care of it with regular trims and treatment. But Kris definitely brought my hair back to life without compensating the integrity of my hair. I have jet black virgin hair that grew out and she got to where I wanted to be!
With COVID going on, the salon is definitely abiding to COVID guidelines, with the requirement
