I booked Mallory to do my hair for my wedding, but she ended up doing so much more! She is freaking amazing. She did a couple trims for me and a trial within the year leading up to my wedding day. I didn't think my hair could ever hold a curl until Mallory got ahold of it. I don't know how she did it, but she did the impossible. My hair held a curl for HOURS and looked so dang good. She is the SWEETEST! She even set time aside to do a hair trial for my mom who was very nervous about getting her hair done. This review is long overdue! I've been going to Mal for 3+ years now & can't imagine going to anyone else. She's extremely friendly and easy to talk to during appointments. I work in sports and have crazy hours, and she has always been very accommodating with my schedule. I couldn't recommend her more!

Mallory is seriously the best hairstylist in SD. I don't get my hair colored (which she is also exceptionally good at!) but I do have thin/problematic hair, and Mallory layers it/cuts it just perfectly to make it look so much thicker and healthier! She actually listens when I want just a trim, and really knows what she's doing.

The Kevin Murphy products she uses are also amazing! I am a total convert :)

I've had several stylists in several different cities over the years and Mallory is the BEST! In 3 years I went from ombre to dark brown to completely blonde. Mallory made sure the transition was gradual and HEALTHY each time. Not only does she care about the look, she cares about the health of your hair too. And the color was amazing every time!

I had been looking for a new hairstylist for a year now and found the most amazing one in Mallory. After my hair had been burnt going blonde two previous times by two different stylists I was very cautious as I made my way back to the blonde side. It was 0600 as I walked through downtown San Diego to get my hair done for a brunch wedding. An early wedding meant ungodly early hair and Mallory was willing to be there early to accommodate. She was incredibly kind, easy to work with and super quick. I have a lot of hair and only had a picture from Pinterest to get her started but she totally delivered. My hair looked great and made me feel gorgeous. The style stayed ALL day, withstanding a brunch wedding, all day reception, a brief nap and an after party until 10pm. 13/10 would recommend to anyone that wants an awesome updo that lasts all day

Mallory is an all star hair stylist! She does my hair regularly and never fails, and also did my wedding which was amazing. I couldn't recommend her more! She is super easy to work with, so talented, sweet and cheerful! She and her team did bridesmaids, moms, and I dealing with multiple needs between down, half, and up-do's. She has a ton of experience and every gal was happy with what they got! She was prepared, positive, and a delight to have during such a special time. It was a seamless experience. Great product and service!

I just moved to San Diego and this is the first haircut I've had in a salon for a while. The service was excellent, and my hair feels incredibly healthy. She framed my face really well and took the time to style it nicely. I've had too many hairdressers not care just because my hair is long, but Mallory did an amazing job with the layering. Mallory has been doing my hair for the last 2 yrs and she is AMAZING. She is very artistic and creative while being mindful of cost! I ALWAYS get wonderful comments on my hair and who does my hair. She really listens to what you want and takes her time and really cares about her work. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Mallory is AMAZING. First time I saw her she was helping me with a bad dye job where my hair was too brassy looking. She not only accommodated to me as soon as she could but she completely fixed my hair as well.

I came back to her to do what I actually wanted to my hair by making allll of my hair blonder and not just through highlighting. What she did was phenomenal and it was the first time I felt like my hair was one solid color. She also did it in an impressive amount of time. Point is- she knows what she is doing.

Edit: so Mallory may actually be a witch, and I mean this in the best possible way - as in, I do not know how she managed to make my hair look this good; there may have been actual magic involved.

Not only does my hair look great styled (and Mallory was willing to spend an extra session going over The Idiot's Guide to How To Curl Hair, a service which I, An Idiot, very much needed), the cut looks great when rolling out of bed in the middle of the night / when I'm a sweaty mess / basically all the time.

Mallory NEVER fails to make my hair feel AND look amazing! She was the first to dye my virgin hair and ever since I've been coming back to her to get my hair done!!! Even if she can't get the ideal look i want at first, she still makes my hair look absolutely gorgeous!!

It's pretty $$pricey$$ depending on the service you want but TOTALLY worth it!! & with the healthy benefits and products she uses to protect your hair I really think it's a steal!

She was upbeat, knowledgeable, and helpful in making my hair dye experience quick and easy.

She does a good job. If I need more work done that I can't do myself, I'd definitely come back. 10/10 would recommend.

Being a guy with thick blonde hair and a pretty crazy growth pattern, I am selective when deciding who to let cut my hair. However, it was clear that Mallory was up to the challenge. She gave me exactly what I asked for and I left looking freessshh!

She is very accommodating when it comes to your schedule or rearranging appointments to make it most convenient for the client. The atmosphere in her salon is very inviting & relaxed - I especially like the tropical house beats! Highly recommended!
