Master Dan Sawyer started his martial arts career in Hawaii as a member of the Honolulu Police Department. His first teacher was Sensei S. Okazaki of Danzen Ryu Jujitsu. That was the start of a life long journey thru the martial arts.
In the 1950's thru the 1960's Sensei Sawyer lived and traveled extensively in Japan and Asia. He trained where ever he lived. In the early 1970's he returned to the U.S. to raise his family and settled in Las Vegas. As in Hawaii and Asia Hanshi Sawyer continued to train and expand his martial arts knowledge.
