I drove 1 hour and 15 minutes to get my haircut at Zoe's. The owner, Kathy, was my stylist today and I cannot praise her enough. From the warm and friendly greeting to the meticulous and perfect haircut she gave me, I think I found my new stylist! She's experienced and very talented. I showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted and she did it!! Pixies are not an easy cut but she gave me the perfect pixie. Thank you, Kathy!! You made my day!!!

I did the hair cut and cold wave perm here and the look turns out to be even better than I expected. The curl looks so natural and soft. Kathy also cut and design the look to make the wave stands out too. The service is more than professional, from the hair washer lady, the staffs, to Kathy to take care of my hair. The price is really reasonable too and Kathy really cares about your needs and expectations. The hair studio also uses high-quality chemicals and treatment for curling, washing, and softening my hair, such as Moroccanoil and other well-known Korean brands. Kathy is also the best communicator

This place has terrible service. I walked into the Salon and was given the dirtiest look from the hair stylist assistant. Kathy is very rude and unprofessional. When I showed her a picture of what I wanted for my haircut she disregarded my wants she said to me “How The Hell am I going to cut this!” First of all you don’t use that kind of language in a professional environment. My haircut came out choppy and was rushed. She burned my ear more than once blow drying my hair. I HAD HORRIBLE HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE HERE. DO NOT GO TO ZOE HAIR STUDIO. Rating ZERO. I have been to Zoe a few times. I was happy when I had the perm and hair cut service during COVID. But when I went there again to perm my hair again, it was a complete disaster. She used the smallest curl on my hair without consulting me. Hair cut was done in five minutes. My long hair was completely distroyed and I look like 20 years older. My hair is completely unmanageable now with the winter dryness. Conditioner does not help at all. A very very unhappy and angry customer.

When I came in today for a cut and full foil, my hair was an absolute mess. I had sort of let my color go during the pandemic and then tried to make up for it by spraying the roots with sun-in...so it had a very. orangey, brassy undertone.

Took my boyfriend here for the first time since he was looking for a new salon after moving. Kathy did an amazing job with what we asked for! My boyfriends hair is really thick and I was never happy with his previous barbers since they didn't thin out his hair nicely. Kathy took her time and blended everything out-- it just looks really good and put together. She also was willing to make adjustments to the haircut when I asked to her to! She's nice, funny, and knows what she's doing. Overall a great experience and we'll be back :) Thanks Kathy!

A quick summary of my hair history: I have been dyeing my hair for decades--first for fun, then to camoflauge the roots, and now for both reasons. This means my hair is pretty damaged--it has been bleached to an inch of its life and then darkened to properly reflect my emo tendencies (and various shades in between). And all of this BEFORE i visited this salon! So it was actually another hair disaster that led me to Zoe Hair Studio. I was around Chinatown and decided to get a haircut. The salon was kinda dirty. The combs and tools being used on me had others' hair stuck to them which ruined it for me. I think I was also double booked and felt rushed out as there was someone else waiting after me. For $60 for a haircut, this is not a salon experience I will be returning to.

I read the reviews on Groupon and on google before coming to Zoe Hair Studio, it was overwhelmed by good reviews, but this hair studio is not for everyone. If you like your hairdresser to take over your hair and do whatever she thinks it's best, this is the place. I asked her to cut 8 inches, but she cut 13 inches without my consent and said "this is a better length for donation". I didn't realize until she did it that it was 13 inches!! I had already a donation place in mind to donate 8-9 inches, I didn't need/want to donate 13 inches. Then she did the long bob as she pleased, usually hairdressers

Had a good experience at Zoe. It started with a hair wash that included a scalp and neck massage. Then the very engaging owner, Kathy, cut my hair. Since it was my first time there, she stopped during the cut to ask me if the length of hair was what I wanted, and it was just right. Was a little pricier than I expected for a man's haircut but I'd never had the massage before, and it was worth it.

Kathy the owner and her assistant gave me a haircut and partial highlights. The haircut was exactly what I needed to feel like the end of covid. Kathy definitely strives to make her clients satisfied! I’m also very happy to support this female business owner and entrepreneur.
For highlights, they probably left me in the bleaching machine too long (I have dark Asian hair and they probably thought I’d need the extra time). My hair came out a bit yellow but they fixed it with toner.

I went in to let Kathy do whatever she felt was best to correct severely uneven layers (breakage from a bad bleach job and 1 year of uneven growth). She knew exactly what to do while still retaining more length than I thought was possible! Most importantly she gave me a ton of confidence back, I can't recommend her enough.

I would give this place zero star! I called this morning asking for an appointment with Kathy after reading the amazing reviews about her. I requested a blow dry at 2 pm and the appointment was confirmed. I showed up on time, however Kathy was just starting to do highlights on another client! I told her I have an appointment at 2, but she insisted that my appointment was at 3:30! I was about to leave, but she said take a seat and I will be with in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later I asked her assistant how much longer??? She said she is almost done and she seated me and put on the apron. 5 minutes later

It's been a few months since I've had a haircut and was just browsing Groupon when I came upon this salon. I decided to call them and pay directly to help support a local business instead of buying a voucher. Not the most glamorous salon but worth every penny! Probably the best hair wash I've had in town and the woman who cut my hair, Kathy, really knew what she was doing. The cut came out even better than what I asked for! After several days of searching for a good place to get a new hairstyle and color for the New Year, I found Zoe Hair on Beach St. I had tried many hair salons in Chinatown but was never completely satisfied with the results. It's crazy how so many businesses were hurt and forced to close because of COVID-19. Yet Kathy told me she just opened 2 more salons within last year in Chinatown Boston. The volume of her customers and quality really speaks for itself. I found this salon online and decided to try it out after reading a lot of the reviews on Yelp and Google. All I needed to do was bringing pictures of the style and color that I wanted and left the rest to Kathy. She asked me several questions to make sure she understood what I really wanted and made it happen. I love my new look and feel very happy with it
