HORRIBLE !!!!! The woman I dealt with was extremely rude and barely understood what I was saying. She hung up on me after I called to say I'd be 5 minutes late. I will never return and I hope no one else has to deal with this nonsense !

I needed a mani-pedi while I was in town for a wedding and interview and this was the salon my hotel concierge recommended.

Unfortunately, I will be writing a bad review for the hotel for this among other things as well.

I am used to my nail places using completely sterilized equipment to the tune of them opening up a fresh set of tools in front of you. I witnessed the technician using the same tools on me that she used on the previous customer after soaking in a solution for only a minute. I should have walked out then, but I was short on time.

She didn't do a good job of shaping my

I will not go back. I got a brazilian (not my normal place) and it was terrible - the woman had terrible technique, was pulling the strips incorrectly, and then blamed me for why it hurt so much (I have been getting waxed for over a year and a half).

I had to find another salon close by to finish it later in the day.

I went in for a pedicure. I love them and get them all the time in many different places. The people there were very nice although the place could have been cleaner, better organized, etc. The pedicure was the worst I have received in a long time. The price was not cheap $45 so I would expect a bit more for my money. My nails were not fully cleaned of cuticles, the polish application was terrible. I can do better myself. The massage, my favorite part was short and only with lotion. There was no sugar scrub massage at all. I have received $25 pedicures that are so much better than this one. I would

Heard this place has the best color for women in the city, so what do I do? Bring my girlfriend there for a color....
Imagine this... place is kinda slow and they have massage folks on staff, so they aren't bad, I get myself a massage while I wait. Talk about a perfect weekend!!!
I read some of the reviews before I posted, and it's funny, lame folks who use cheap coupons complaining about scheduling! heheheh The main lady who colors hair is better than newbury street color folks... hello???
back to earth folks!! AND she gives deals if you ask her nicely!

Yesterday I had a mani/pedi with Kelly who was great! She did a fantastic job, equipment was sterile and took great care. I am writing because there have been some negative reviews on this site, but Kelly has only been there for 8 months and was not there when the other reviews were written.

Also there is a new stylist t, Rhonda, who is also excellent. I used to go to Rhonda at another salon, so she has been my fav...and was the one to introduce me to Henia's. The salon is (as previously reported) dated in its appearance, but Rhonda and Kelly are both excellent at what they do. So I

Whenever I purchase a Groupon, I first go to the website to see if it looks like an establishment I would like. Let me just say that the website and the actual location could be on two different planets. Their website gives the appearance of an upscale, luxury establishment. The reality? Hardly.

This would not really be a problem if the service was good and the person 'greeting' me at the desk had good customer service skills. Unfortunately this was not the case.

As others have stated here, my experience attempting to use my Groupon for a mani/pedi was poor, to say the least.

After reading the other reviews, it seems to me like they should give up their nail business and just focus on hair.

An appointment was made for two manis/pedis on a Monday afternoon to use the Groupons purchased last year before they expire. I gave these to a friend of mine because I was moving out of town and would not be able to use them. When she showed up, the spa said she did not have a reservation and that one of the Groupons had already been used. I called the spa personally and they said they would not honor the Groupons even though neither have been used, and they were too busy to

I had bought a mani-pedi Groupon for Henia's, having never visited the shop. The Groupon said - in very plain language - stop by any time during the week or call for a weekend appointment. I arrived on a Tuesday at 4:45 (they close at 6 according to the website) and asked for a mani-pedi. The rude receptionist told me "Oh, the nail lady goes home at 4:30. You'll have to come back." When I asked why this information wasn't on the website, she told me "Well, we can't put all of our information on the website." What?!? Her helpful suggestions: "You should

I had a groupon for a free mani-pedi at this place which was going to expire soon so I figured I'd use a day off of work to do a little pampering. I got there earlier than I thought I would, about ten minutes before my appointment, which was for 2 PM. At around five after 2, one of the women at the front desk mentioned that one of their girls hadn't come in today and they had had to move around the entire schedule, so they would be running maybe 20 minutes late? This time I didn't really mind because I didn't need to be anywhere and I had a book, but in general I would really

This place really sucks. The staff is very rude and uncurteous. Even the quality of the service wasn't too good. I bought this groupon and the guy on the reception never treated me right. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They even messed up my appointment and nobody was even ready to take the responsibility. May be that's the reason I was the only customer in that spa in the evening.

If you like rude, unbearable service, and you want to feel really angry and unhappy when you leave, Henia's is the place to go. If they were the last salon on earth, I still wouldn't go there again!

I had this best pedicure here. The tech really took here time and worked extra hard in problem areas. This is so much nicer and cleaner than the $35 specials on Newbury Street. And not that much more expensive.

Tom from Henia's called me the next morning to inform me that my groupons would have been unusable anyway, because I bought two intending to use one as a gift, which apparently is not allowed. I don't think this is true (especially given Lea C.'s review on 3/9) but fortunately Groupon has already given me a refund. Thanks, Tom, for the additional harassment.

I am torn about this review.

I bought a Groupon for 2 mani-pedis and took my gf who came to visit from NYC. We had an early weekend appointment, were greeted as soon as we got in, and everyone who worked there was very very nice.

However, that's kinda where the good times end.

This place is a prime candidate for a Tabitha's Salon Takeover. They have exactly 1 set of modern nail service equipment. My pedicure was done in a sink with a chair. A regular sink. No jets, nothing. Very uncomfortable. When I sat down for my manicure, I looked at the Barbicide-filled jar of tools on

The worst experience i've EVER had in a nail salon.
I went in at 11am and was the only person in the place. A woman named Jackie was very nice, talkative and had been doing nails for 20 years took me to the pedicure chair and began my mani-pedi.
I picked black for my toes and red for my nails, which i later discovered were her least favorite colors.
she didnt want to cut my cuticles because she said although they sterolyze the tools, they are still unsanitary so she did an OK job on my toes.
The manicure was where she killed me. She kept going on about how no one picks red for their nails

Went here on a promotion from getsugar.com (free color process with haircut purchase) and had a good experience. henia herself did my cut and color. the cut was a little shorter than i wanted because she had to fix an uneven cut from my last stylist (boo to them), but even though i wasn't thrilled with it i've gotten tons of compliments! my color is good too-- she listened to what i wanted and did a nice job keeping it looking natural and blending the highlights i already had.

Sarah is amazing (I always have good luck with stylists named Sarah, hmm). I went in last week on a getsugar.com special deal, and after she got me coffee (how much do you love that?) she asked what I wanted to do. When I said "blonde" she was like "oooh yay, you're daring!"

I then let her foil my hair and cut almost four inches off (which I totally hadn't planned). I LOVE it. She styled it straight (which I don't even like) but it still looked fantastic natural. She took her time and was like, cutting my hair in the zone. Love it.
