A friend treated me to my first highlight appointment here and I was blown away by how gorgeous it came out! I'm a natural red and got blonde highlights. Jensy did an incredible job - perfectly matches my skintone and so complimentary to my natural color.

Rogue gave me the best hair washing I've ever had. She massaged my head while washing and from start to finish, she did exactly what I asked for, making it even better than I imagined. In addition, she was also fun to talk to. I liked it so much that it made me sad that I live in Connecticut and was unable to go back until the next time I go to Boston.

I got a haircut from Jensy and it was so great! I have really curly hair so I get nervous when anyone without curly hair cuts it but the cut turned out really nice and he walked me through the whole thing. I had never dramatically colored my hair before, and I was new to Boston so I didn't have a regular stylist yet. It seemed risky to me to go to a new person and let them dye my dark brown hair red, but I figured a place named House of Colour would know what to do. Rogue was my stylist and she was fantastic. She looked through the pictures I showed her of what I was looking for and talked it through with me before she got started, and she took my ideas and added her expertise so I ended up with a look that I loved. This salon is the best, always very clean and inviting. Jacqui is my favorite hair stylist ever. I have A LOT of hair that is hard for me to manage (3c/4a) and Jacqui is always able to give me great dry cuts that are always exactly what I am looking for. I also recently got my first color treatment, came out gorgeous. My loyalty to Jacqui has gotten to the point where, even thought I no longer live in Boston, I'll always try to squeeze in a visit whenever I'm in town visiting family. She's the only person I like to let cut my hair.

I absolutely love this salon and have been a loyal customer of Jacqui's for years. Jacqui is the only stylist that has ever gotten my color right. Brown sounds so basic but I've never found anyone else that didn't go too dark until I starting going to Jacqui. My color is always perfect, never too dark or brassy. The cut is also great. Even though my hair is long and fine, her cut makes it full, stylish and age appropriate. Jacqui listens to what I'm asking for and makes helpful suggestions to make my style look flattering on me.

Wonderful team and service. I enjoyed working with Jacqui Che who is an amazing stylist. She knows from the first look if you need a cut and cut will fit you. she is very professional in her suggestions and all she wants to make you happy. the rest of the personnel is very nice. It was like a retreat and relaxing time for myself.

Jacqui has terrific colouring and styling skills. She is polite, kind and we always have good conversation. The salon is spacious and beautiful with exposed stone and brick walls - I relax as soon as I walk through the door! House of Colour is doing a fabulous job following Covid safety protocols - stations are spaced out and masks are worn by everyone. Very disappointed..I come to a Boston in the summer and always go here for color, dry cuts, and blow outs. Went the other day for a ten minute blow out...no shampoo and was charged 50. When I questioned this price for a blow out and no shampoo owner was standing right there in stony silence. The receptionist was very sweet and was just doing her job and the owner never said a word and rudely walked away without a word. This is how he is going to treat his customers? being a new owner think you should be ashamed of himself I know if Charles had been standing there he would've acknowledged

Thanks Jensy for a fantastic color correction! I had an unfortunate experience at another salon and then a failed correction that left me with mousy brown / greenish (yes green) hair. Honestly I was pretty devastated about it and my curly hair was not only in need of color assistance but also a cut. Brand new salon recently opened by Boston's finest & surely soon to be a contender for best of Boston. After having highlights done in PVD & on the west coast; I set out on google to track Jensy down who just opened this new salon with his partner. I have had good highlights at other places and never been displeased but his work is consistently great & natural. Especially if you too are a blonde that wants to maintain a nice natural color with a soft brightness. I've been coming here for years and can't believe I've never reviewed before! Jacqui is fabulous. I won't trust my hair to anyone else. I've had so many people think they know what they're doing and end up frying, damaging, ruining my hair. She has helped me rehab my hair from disasters. Che Maksou is so much more then your average hair salon. Charles, the owner of Che Maksou is nothing short of a master at his craft, highly experienced and treats each of his clients like runway models. Because my hair is very thick and tightly curled, I always get a dry cut, which I explained. Charles said he was very well versed in handling curly hair, and proceed to say how I have "too much volume" and he needs to "thin it out."

Stopped in to have a manicure and blowout. At first was turned away till later time and then they called me back earlier. Then I ended up waiting till original time. So much confusion small salon only a handful of stylists in hand too.
