Lo-Har Senior Living
We had zero new resident or staff positives in last week's round of mass testing. This week's mass testing occurred today. Winter weather on the east coast has delayed the delivery of the Moderna Vaccine to the state. We will inform you of the next steps regarding the residents expecting the second dose of the vaccine as soon as we have more information from the state.

At Lo-Har Senior Living, you will find a warm, dedicated staff committed to creating a community you will be delighted to call home. With no buy-in fees and a convenient month-to-month lease, our residents have flexibility and freedom should their needs change.

I have been working at Lo~Har for more than 25 years. Ive worked at other places but not for long. The reason I've stayed so long and will continue is they always treat the residents and thier loved ones like family. All the staff and management take the time to know each person's individual needs. What makes them smile what makes them laugh and what brings them joy. I couldn't be more proud to work with such loving, caring, and devoted people. It really is home!

This place is awful. They were horrible to my mother and every time she needed assistance going to the bathroom they treated her, and even told her, she was a burden and asked why she had to go to the bathroom so often. It turns out she had a bladder infection that progressed to a kidney infection and one day she fell because she was so weak and by the time she finally got medial attention she was septic. They could have prevented this by listening to her complaints or taking her temperature. She was there 5 months and fell a total of 5 times, 4 times ending up in the hospital. Once with a broken

The food being provided to these people is disgusting and I wouldn't feed it to my dog. The care is sub-par! They have no patience with the women in the memory ward, I saw one care taker push an elderly lady because she kept getting out of her chair. They don't keep track of clothes bought by family members for their loved ones. Dinner was 2 pieces of bread with spam (I'm guessing), cottage cheese with tomatoes and I think some kind of tasteless custard. You MUST treat our elders better! I bet you wouldn't eat your own food!

Our father was a resident at Lohar Senior living for 3 years before he passed away this past June 2018. He had vascular dementia and was progressively deteriorating. Pace brought our father to Lohar where he started in the cottages and shortly thereafter moved to there Memory care unit. My sister and I lived outta state and dad never wanted to leave California and truth be told his health wasn't The best to live in Florida or N Carolina. The staff at Lohar from Kandy (the manager) to Michelle (head nurse), Amy and all the other staff, took our dad and treated him like family. They always let us

I am not at all sure where the high ratings came from, but I think I figured it out once my one-star review was removed from the Senior Advisor and Caring.com websites. My sister and I visited there seeking a place for our parents. The smell that hit us as we walked in the front door was horrendous. The office staff hardly acknowledged our presence, and when we finally were taken for a quick tour, we found the place to be drab and incredibly depressing.

Just driving by. Saw an elderly woman face down in the grass. No one around. The place is fenced in with a locked gate but the gate wasn't locked. We ask if she need help and of course she did.
We pounded on the complex door, an assistant came out and unlocked the gate so we could leave, never said oops, sorry or thanks. How does this happen, who knows how long this pool lady was down.
