Kodenkan Martial Arts Academy
There is a difference between Martial Arts as we traditionally view them, and Fighting Arts that are basically sports, and Defensive Tactics. We offer classes that cover all three of these approaches to martial arts study. Our movements are a bridge to our desires. The better built the bridge, the more likely we succeed.

Old or young, for health or for performance, our mission is to help you fortify your base and infrastructure. Find out what's new at the KMAA. We often hold a variety of special events, including, promotion, tournaments, seminars and clinics. The Kodenkan Martial Arts Academy was founded in 1992. Our mission is to offer the Tucson community quality martial arts instruction.

KMAA offers a variety of martial arts classes. I teach KAJUKENBO and love seeing students grow. The facilities are large enough for a variety of large classes and all of the instructors are highly qualified in the material they teach.

This place has been my home gym for years now and I love it. The owner and the instructors are highly-qualified and have tons of experience. The team is amazing and tight knit. Some people have been going there for more than a decade. It's a great environment. It's really clean compared to other gyms around town.

Fun place to be. Animating instruction, clean facility, and inexpensive and flexible monthly fee. Instructor McGraugh has excellent communication skills, which I thought was helpful in addressing the challenges of learning the movements. Expect physical contact such as grappling and wrestling with other people, but nothing so rigorous that a person with normal physical health cannot handle.

Kodenkan has been one of the best things in my life for a few years now. The people there are very good martial artists as well as very humble people. I have not run into one ego battle here like i have at many other m.m.a. gyms in town. If your looking for a place to become not only a fighter but a well rounded human being as well then this is the place for you.

This is the best studio around hands down.
Shihan John Mcgraugh is a teacher owner of this business. He is the best ive seen.He is great with kids(can be silly but firm when needed).
All of the teachers are great well taught and have knowledge of the Martial Arts.
There are Judo,MMA,Sword fighting,Kick boxing,Karate,Jujitsu and Womens self defense. Classes for all ages and everyone.
The prices are the best in Tucson by far.
I will never look anywhere else. This is the place if you want to learn Martial Arts!!
