Trying jiu jitsu for the first time can be intimidating. You might be thinking; Will I be safe? Will I get hurt? Do I need to get in shape before I join a school? How long will it take for me to learn jiu jitsu? Primero BJJ and Joe Solorio can help. We offer a private introductory jiu jitsu lesson that will prepare you for your first jiu jitsu classes.
This private introductory lesson is $60 for 60 minutes and Joe will give you extra time if you need it. You will learn the basic body movements and positions you will be exposed to during your first jiu jitsu classes. It will give you a better understanding of your first classes and help make your early jiu jitsu experience a positive one.

I've been training for about a year, and I have enjoyed the personal attention at Primero. Joe makes sure that he teaches to all levels and doesn't leave anyone behind. Everyone is welcoming, and the higher belts are more than willing to work with the lower belts to help them and encourage excellence. I am over 65 and I plan to train many more years.

Both my son and daughter train here. Over the course of almost two years, they have shown tremendous growth, discipline and emotional control. Primero also takes pride in building relationships with families and supports all the well rounded academic growths of all the students. Knowing that my children will take their training with them in all that they strive to do, with confidence and determination, makes us part of the Primero family.

Primero has been my first experience with Jiu Jitsu. My wife and I enrolled our 11 year old daughter in coach Joe's sessions and immediately noticed a change in her self esteem, and attitude. Not only is the instruction physically beneficial for her, she has matured mentally. She's also picking up some awesome self defense skills in the process! Coach Joe is a great leader/role model to his students, and truly cares about their well being. This has been a great experience for us! Thank you coach Joe, for all of your hard work.

Ive never been to another studio for this but since coming here i feel like there isnt need to visit another instructor , i like his attitude and performance with the kids , he has patience and looks like and seems like a great personality . I always have a good time watching the kids get down and learn each class they take , my son has been improving by the week with his confidence of being able to do the class . Never does he feel intimidated by the kids in the class . Its a great group of kids who actually like to help each other and learn from one another

Joe Solaria was my high school and college wrestling coach. He is an amazing coach and an even better motivated. Kids and adults alike should be super grateful to have this man as their coach and teacher. I highly recommend this BJJ school to anyone interested in the sport for health and/or competition.

I started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Primero, and really enjoy it. I'd never wrestled or done any martial arts before. A review online somewhere spoke highly of Primero s9 I gave it a try, and I'm happy I did. The atmosphere is respectful, fun and family friendly. The mats and the school are kept very clean. My kids aren't quite old enough to start yet, but the kids classes look like they have a bunch of fun. If you are thinking about trying BJJ in Tucson, give it a try!
