Sikora Salon
Sheryl has been a stylist in the industry for 30 years. She has worked behind the chair, as well editorial, platform work, and education. Her work has been published and seen in TV commercials. In the 1980's, Sheryl became an Educator for Aveda. In 1986, she moved to Minneapolis to work at Horst and Friends Lumber Exchange.

She became a Master Stylist in just a few years. Her experience with Aveda and Horst and Friends exposed her to many opportunities, working with the best artists in the industry. It was a privilege to be surrounded with so much talent and feed off each other's gifts. Her dream of owning a salon came true in 2010.

Critical: Professionalism
I witnessed an encounter between my stylist and the salon owner that made me very uncomfortable. The salon owner was being extremely rude and unprofessional towards my stylist during my service.

I have been seeing Sheryl Sikora exclusively for the last 22 years. She is AMAZING! I would trust no one else! She has saved my hair more than once: when I thought chunky blue highlights from a box were a good idea, when I thought I could cut my own bangs, etc. She works her magic and turns me into a QUEEN even after my worst DIY home haircuts in my teenage years! When I attended my first event, Sheryl gave me a beautiful updo that was perfectly styled and lasted comfortably all night long. She is a very talented and passionate woman. Her salon is a happy place: stylish, calming, and clean. I plan

They have the most amazing jewelry that they sell by a local artist in this salon. They are very friendly and nice about showing it and questions during busy salon hours. I sort of hate to post this because the word will get out but the artist deserves the attention, Have not had a service here.

Sheryl is a top notch stylist who is reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with; love the color she does!

Needed a blowout before an event.

It was an Aveda spa which was a plus. My stylist was really nice but she smelled so bad of smoke that hours after my blowout my hair still smelled

She really tried to give me the blowout I wanted but I wound up going back to my hotel room to style it correctly

And they don't take credit cards. Lame.

I can't imagine going anywhere else for my haircut and color! I have been a client of Sheryl Sikora's for many years. Even after we moved to the Brainerd Lakes area in 2003, I drove to Minneapolis every five weeks for thirteen years. Now that we are back in Minneapolis, we live in a skyway connected apartment and love that I can walk to the salon in any weather. Sikora Salon is beautifully decorated and located in the grand, historic Lumber Exchange Building.

Sheryl's personal touch and acumen for great service is evident through and through - from filling the atmosphere of the salon space with a delightful decor and tasteful music that soothed my senses - to communicating clearly and directly... with an eye and ear quick to understand where and how to style and shape my hair exactly how I wanted. I have somewhat long and curly hair - which needed to by trimmed just right - to frame my narrow face! And she nailed it.
Besides all that, Sheryl's a vivacious and entertaining conversationalist - knowledgeable and witty. Real deal.
