Dr. Montessori recognized that self-motivation is the only valid impulse for learning. She understood the need to acquire basic skills before participating in a competitive learning situation. The years before 6 are not only the prime time for laying down an academic foundation, but most importantly, the years when a child learns the ground rules of human behavior most easily.
Mis Amiguitos is a truly unique Spanish-immersion Montessori school run by loving, experienced teachers. My son has attended the school since he was 4 months old. We looked at several day care centers, and Mis Amiguitos stood out because of its loving staff and thoughtful educational program. Our son's experience at Mis Amiguitos has far exceeded our expectations.
