Every morning, children make their way through the bustling streets of New York's Lower East Side to a preschool tucked away on Suffolk Street: Elements, The Nature Preschool.
A hidden oasis, Elements' Open Air Outdoor Classrooms welcome children 3 months to 5 years of age. An advocate of authentic, true, and child-driven play, Elements prioritizes community within the pillars of equity, determination, risk-taking, autonomy, and inclusion. Elements believes in the power of wonder and how it sparks with joy through an intentional environment cultivated amongst loose parts and growing plants.

Services
Children and families are individually greeted as they enter our outdoor classroom entrance. Each child washes their hands at our outdoor sink, has their temperature checked and recorded, and fills a daily health questionnaire. Once cleared, children transition to joining their community of classmates and educators outside.

Upon acceptance, a non-refundable/non-transferable deposit equal to two month's tuition (based on your decided schedule) holds your child's spot - this deposit is applied to both May and June tuition.Our current chef designed vegetarian meal plan has been suspended until safety allows for this program to continue.

Our Open Air Outdoor Classrooms are designed to inspire curiosity, foster independence, and create a safe, intentional adventure space in which children can take calculated risks. Our extensive, nature-rich classrooms consist of stations for dramatic play, process oriented art, sensory play, and element inspired experiments, such as water.
