Hair On Hyde was founded in 2007 after Bonnie, the salon's owner, had been working in a franchise hair salon setting for several years. Bonnie opened Hair On Hyde with the goal of providing each and every one of her clients with the best hair cut experience by listening and catering to their individual needs.
In 2011, Hair On Hyde moved to a new location, 1031 Hyde Street. Conveniently located next door to the new Nob Hill Trader Joe's and CVS, the new hair salon includes five stations as well as a facial/spa room with the most up-to-date and current equipment. At Hair On Hyde, we use the following products: Paul Mitchell, Matrix, American Crew, Redken, Fierli, Nigelle, Nioxin, and many more!

Bonnie has been a licensed cosmetologist for 18 years. She learned her craft from Hilltop Beauty School in Daly City and has continued to hone her skills throughout the years by attending seminars and taking hands-on courses.
Prior to founding Hair On Hyde in 2007, Bonnie gained invaluable experience working in franchised and private hair salon settings all around the Bay Area; through these experiences, she gained the confidence and skills necessary to give her clients the best hair cut experience possible.

I went to get my hair straightened and she charged 20 dollars just to cut dead ends and she said my straight hair would last for 5 months and told to me not to take a shower after 3 days it was straight for three days then I took a shower and it went back to my puffy hair I wasted 400 dollars for a treatment that did not work and she damaged my hair.

I've been a regular customer here since I moved to the neighborhood in 2014. The service has been unfailingly excellent. I can easily get a same-day appointment any day of the week, and I always get exactly the haircut I want. I have difficult hair (curly, thick, eternally uncooperative) and every haircut I've had at Hair on Hyde has been perfect.
I will continue to come here as long as I live in the neighborhood, because I know that I'll get exactly the same exemplary service every time.
