I hope that everyone has stayed healthy and safe over these last number of months. It has been quite the journey to say the least and I am reaching out to update you on the status of Cowboys & Angels. In the beginning of the shutdown, I kept myself busy by working on cleaning and painting the salon and preparing a safe space for us all to return to.
It felt good to have something to focus on and to pour my positive energies into. I looked forward to the day when we could share it with all of you once again. Unfortunately, after numerous reopening dates came and went with no end in sight, I started to notice a shift in what stylists and clients wanted.

A process using foils to bring multi-tonal color effects to a person's hair color. A full highlight includes the sides of the head and the top of the head all the way to the nape of the neck. In addition to the highlights that are applied to the sides of the head and the top of the head to the crown, a tint is applied to the roots and in between the foils so as to cover gray and add lowlights.

Best in the city for blondes. I've lived in a lot of cities and always dread needing to find new everything and everyone. I was lucky to discover Michael within the first month of moving to the Bay Area. I saw a woman in a store who had the most beautifully natural looking highlights, so I not-so-politely asked her where she went. I was thrilled with Michael from the beginning. He understands how to use color to add texture, how to find the perfect individual shade, and then is a masterful artist at making it all happen. Even his touch-ups blend so perfectly that I often forget my natural

Michael Madalinski is an amazing hair colorist. I have been going to him for around 3-4 years! He does amazing blonde highlights that look natural. Not only that, but the color grows out extremely well so you aren't left with harsh roots. He also always has great ideas for what you should do with your color next, and he never fails! He is truly a color expert, and I would recommend him to anyone :)

I met Michael when he was an assistant at Cowboys and Angels. As soon as he hit the floor as a colorist, I switched to his care. That was 10 years ago. Over the years he has grown as a colorist, keeping current with color trends and honing his artistic skills. He clearly loves what he does and it shows. People are surprised to learn that I am covering grey as my hair color is so natural looking. I cannot recommend Michael enough - as long as there is always an appointment for me :)

I came to Michael a few years ago after I left another colorist who was destroying my hair and making me look awful. He understood right away how to fix it and give me a more natural color that would highlight my features instead of washing them out.
But it just keeps getting better. Michael knows color better than anyone I've ever been to. I leave after every appointment feeling amazing. I get so many compliments on my hair and I really feel like he has very deft hand at covering my stubborn greys and making the color last without creating that dreaded line of regrowth.

Michael is truly amazing! I have been going to him for over 4 years for highlights. Most of my friends now see Michael because they love how natural my highlights look. Like Cherylynn N, I followed Michael from Cowboy to Sammy Oliver and will follow him to his new hip Salon called Veer and Wander on 6 Brady Street: http://veerandwander.com

Next to a woman's face, the MOST important thing is her hair. A person's hairstyle and color can make a world of difference in their overall look and attitude. Blondes have more fun. Redheads have spunk. Brunettes have more confidence. I believe that all the clichés are true. Depending on my mood, I've gone through all three.
