My son and I loved Collette Family Daycare. Collette and the other caregivers are very kind and nurturing to the children. There are lots of fun as well as educational activities and plenty of space to run around. We have left miami now and he still talks about some of his "teachers" there with great fondness.
Collette and the staff she has working with her provide a safe, fun environment for kids at her day care. My family and I live nearby in the The Grove neighborhood and when school was out this summer for our toddler, we were relieved to find Collette's daycare so conveniently close to our home. We didn't have to worry about a thing and Collette was very flexible on drop off and pick up times, which for any parent, is a definite PLUS.

Services
After working 14 years in a regular daycare I decided to open my family child care (FCCH) in 1997 to serve families and their children but considering a personal and more private care based on children's needs, their learning and development environment.
Also, I want to respond to a growing need of serving young children in a more appropriate care settings for toddlers and preschoolers rather than large group-care setting, imposed on day care centers. We, the FCCH and the families work together to expand, to improve appropriate practices, interactions and learning experiences that would prepare our children for positive, supportive relationships, cognitive development and healthy emotional skills.

To promote emotional growth. To promote a warm accepting environment for the children to work and play in. To encourage curiosity and a sense of wonder with emphasis on self- motivation. 2. To promote social growth. To promote and instill a sense of caring for, and sensibility towards others. By recognition of group needs vs. individual differences.
To meet each child's physical needs while encouraging independence in self care. 2. To provide an atmosphere in which children have respect for others. 3. To establish respect for the equipment and materials. 4. To provide a relaxed, loving and calm atmosphere where self-concept is enhanced, independence and choices are encouraged, and self-discipline is gained in an environment where the child knows the limits and expectations.

Collette has been the best choice I’ve made in the life of my son. She has the best care with the most love for her students. Her daycare is intimate and professional driven with respect and love.
The set up is amazing and allows the children to grow and learn with a gentle teacher whom dedicates time to each student. My son flourished in her daycare within days after a terrible experience elsewhere.
I cannot recommend Collette’s daycare enough. I trust my son with her wholeheartedly. Amazing teacher, caregiver, and over all person.

A quiet little daycare in Coconut Grove. Our daughter has been going to Collette's for 1.5 years. Collette takes extremely good care of her kids. She is constantly updating us on our daughter, good and bad, and loves to see improvements for everyone's sake. As for the potential dirt issue, there is an outdoor play area that the kids love to play in. When she comes home with some dirt on her clothes, I love knowing that she was not cooped up inside all day and was actually having some fun with the other children. Thank you Collette!!

Our experience at Colette's has been very positive. It's like grandma's house! My kids, 2 and 4 were happy together playing and learning, accompanying each other and bonding to their "classmates". The entire staff at this Day Care is so warm and they really care about my boys and treated us with great respect all the time. Colette, Cynthia and Maria greeted us always with a smile in the morning and in the afternoon when we return to pick up Joaquin and Martin, even though I was always late!. What a great place for children! Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience dearest Colette :)

I will not recommend this place to anyone. After only three months we had to pull our son out because of the lack of hygiene, every time we picked him up his face, hands and clothes were very dirty and even though we brought this to the owner's attention things never changed. One time my mother picked him up earlier than usual and the owner was very surprised, our little one was taking a nap at the time and his clothes were full of dirt and mulch, even his diaper was full of mulch inside so obviously he had not been cleaned before his nap. I do not understand how can someone have a license to run
