At our La Prima Casa Montessori Preschool, we proudly remain true to the core principles outlined by Maria Montessori. We believe in them. We see them working for children every day. We know this is the absolute best approach to early learning.
The mission of La Prima Casa is to foster a peaceful and nurturing environment, full of infinite experiences that will encourage the child to construct his own independence, self-confidence, responsibility, appreciation for diversity and a love of learning, using the Montessori Philosophy.Check out our sister schools, The Montessori at Flatiron and The Montessori in SoHo located in Manhattan.

Services
Like any good school, we update materials as exciting new advances and tools are made available. However, we will never deconstruct what makes the Montessori Method so special - providing an environment where children are invited to touch, feel, solve, create, fix, share, grow, ask, wonder and achieve.
Il Nido, the Montessori Preschool classroom serves as the child's first home away from home. It is an extension of the home; a warm, loving atmosphere where the child can continue his work of self construction without obstacles. In Preschool, the child can fulfill his need for order, love, security, independence, and exploration.
The Montessori Elementary program is designed for children aged 6-12 years old. According to Maria Montessori, it is a time when the child's imagination is a "fertile field". The child begins to feel a strong sense of justice and to adopt a logical approach to understanding the world. The child's perspective begins to span beyond the family and into society at large.
In our art program, we work with different mediums, such as drawing, painting, sculpture and construction. Children are exposed to different colors, textures and artistic expressions, which will instill an appreciation for and love of art. These classes also help children develop their fine motors skills, imagination, focus and confidence through creative and fun projects.
Please call the office at 305-854-8001 to schedule a private tour of one of our beautiful campuses. This is an opportunity to ask questions about our school, share information about your child with our admissions staff and learn more about the Montessori pedagogy.
If you are not a current LPC student and are applying to our Elementary program or the Kindergarten year of our Primary program, your child should attend the tour and meet with one of admissions personnel or a teacher. You will be prompted to complete your enrollment by completing an online registration on MyProcare.com.

We are so grateful to La Prima Casa for taking amazing care of our two children. The school has created such a wonderful community and it's truly wonderful to see how fond everyone who works there are of the students. You can really tell how much the leadership (at both campuses) cares for the students and their families and that they are there for them and their development. All the teachers that our children have had the pleasure to have, have been loving at the same time as they look after their educational progress. I truly recommend this school.

I am a nanny to two boys that go here. I am also a pre k teacher and also worked in a Montessori school when I used to live in Munich, Germany.
From what I have seen when collecting the boys, seeing their homework, hearing their stories and the satisfaction of their parents...I would highly recommend.

I called to schedule a tour of the school, so the receptionist took my information and said that someone will call me back. The receptionist informed me that there was an availability open for September, 2019 and not to worry about it. A week went buy and nobody has returned my phone call. When I called back nobody knew that I even called and the receptionist said that there is a waitlist.

We are extremely happy with this school Our daughter has been in this school since she is 2 years old and she is now in 1st grade. This school is a true Montessori school - they focus on following the true Montessori philosophy. Keira, loves to go to school and to stay in school all day. The staff really shows love and care for my daughter. Keira, has learned public speaking, take care of plants, take care of animals, reading, math, team work and to love herself and to take care of herself. The children's food is amazing, the chef loves to cook for all the kids. The kids have learned yoga

We came to LPC in 2012. we were pregnant with our second child and wanted to get our 18 month old started in school before our second one came. It was January, openings were tight; but they told me not to worry that they would help me find a spot. Angie and Amy were amazing in making us feel welcomed. Sure enough a month later our son had his first day of school.
From day 1 we felt at home here. The staff is professional and caring, the teachers are well prepared and warm, the food is top notch and the community is supportive and open. I can truly say we have found friends for life here. We are

One word, three syllables! EX-CEL-LENT!
I wish I would have put my daughter in La Prima Casa Montessori since we decided to put her in child care, but unfortunately we made the mistake of placing her in another school down the block from LPC, which started out great at first, but with so much turnover with the school directors and teachers, it became a disaster and we had to pull my daughter out.
My daughter is three years old and in Primary at LPC Montessori. Primary consists of children between the ages of three and five years old. The younger kids learn from the older kids, who are more

My 4 year old son has been attending La Prima Casa Montessori since he was 18-months old. The campus is small and everyone knows each other like family. The teachers are very knowledgeable about Montessori education as well as the methods involved and they take it very seriously. They are very hands on with the children and strike a great balance between having a serious learning environment filled with love and understanding.
I recently enrolled my younger son in the Il Nido class for infants and he loves it so much that some days he does not want to come home :)
I can't recommend this
