They ambushed the community with "tree trimming", when they really meant they were going to chop down two beautiful ancient Majestic Oak trees. These oak trees were at least 200 and 150 years old, and were the reason a lot of long term residents choose to live here.
They claimed the oak trees had rot, but they looked very healthy and beautiful.
If these trees really were sick:
1. Why didn't they warn the residents by sending out a notice and proof that they had a permit?
2. Why did they label it as a "tree trimming" when it really was a full out slaughter?

This is a fantastic place to live. I met with Sarai, and she handled everything, including after we moved in. She is a wonderful manager and really cares about her job. The grounds are kept in amazing condition. It is so quiet and peaceful here. So much of it is brand new. When we had a small issue with the washing machine the maintenance person came over right away. He is also extremely professional. The corporation running this complex hires excellent staff. Love this place!

We moved to Oakview apartments in April 2021, my husband and I agree that this is the best managed place we have lived in since moving to the US from the UK. Not only is the natural landscape surrounding us absolutely beautiful and peaceful, the apartments themselves and the grounds are kept in impeccable shape. Sarai, the assistant manager, has been so helpful & very quick to respond to any queries. We've only had one small maintenance issue so far and the crew responded the same day, seamlessly and with a friendly smile. If you're looking for a place with a homey feel in Westlake

Apartments are falling apart and extremely over priced. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the website they're very good at luring people in to take money but maintenance is extremely terrible. The ceiling above my stairs completely fell apart one day almost two years ago and they still haven't finished completely repairing it. The ceiling in the kitchen is constantly falling apart because of plumbing issues from the bathtub and they just patch it up without fixing the actual problem and it continues to happen over and over again. Understand the following, the amount of money for an apartment at this location is ridiculous.
Your asking price before $968.00 for a two bedroom.
Now its anywhere between $1,200.00 to $1,800.00 or based off of your income.
Ok, yet not really ok. To pay for a shoebox.
The parking is always available, no problem there. No break ins or issue's from other tenants.
Just the price, and the office staff at this location. The Staff is awful for the exception of [cant recall her name] but we can call her the only sweet payment lady. This lady

This was a great apartment. The apartment was spacious and clean. All the appliances worked perfectly, and everything was new. The neighborhood was quiet, with a nice community feel. I would recommend it as a good place for families. The Rental Office and landlord were friendly, fair, and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. I would highly recommend the Oakview Apartments to everyone I know.

My experience with Oakview Apartments was absolutely horrible.
I recently moved from San Francisco to Westlake Village to be closer to my family. My parents toured a demo unit and they said an identical unit would be coming available when we needed it. We submitted our application, was approved, paid our deposit and were all set to move in.
The day we arrived at the complex, we arrived at 8:30am, which is the time it says they open. There is a sign on the door, on google maps, and on their website that all say 8:30am. We were informed they actually open at 9am even though it wasn't posted

I lived at Oakview apartments for several months in 2018. My review is strictly for Monica and the ladies currently on staff at the leasing office - pertaining to my recent move-out process. I did not have much interaction with Monica, Jennifer, and Nekesha (sp), as I didn't have many questions or issues while I was still living there. However, when I did interact with any of the ladies in the leasing office, my questions were answered in a professional manner. Monica helped to make my move-out process simple and pleasant. Came in today to view a model apartment. I expressed over the phone that I was looking for a one bedroom and was told one would be available on the 26th of this month (DEC). I was told that Johanna would be the one touring.

Neighborhood is kind of sketchy but the actual apartment was awesome!!! Reasonable prices, spacious, tons of closets and windows, and the water gets really hot. They have an on site laundry center and plenty of parking as well. I'm not sure about painting options as far as personalizing your apartment. Great for a single person though.

I was visiting a friend and I noticed a big uncitely brown box on the wall. I asked what they was and they said that's the thermostat. I said why is there a box on it. And come to find out during the winter your not allowed to adjust your in heat since they pay for the gas... In the summer time they remove it. Ugh thats despicable.

I lived here for a couple of years. It was a nightmare. When I took a tour of the property, everything looked good. The property was decent, location was good, the staff was friendly (all fake). The problem started as soon as I signed the lease.
The manager's name is VANESSA. She APPEARED very friendly and receptive during the tour and lease signing. Soon after, her behavior took a u U TURN and she started showing her true colors. She was very RUDE. Don't trust a word she says. Everything she says or does is Fake and Lies.

Sounds like there may have been a couple bad experiences at Oakview Apartments over the years -- maybe some miscommunication -- but really, it is to be expected at any apartment complex. Not all resident requests and concerns raised can be met with 100% satisfaction all the time. My experience at Oakview, though, has been great so far -- very accommodating people up front and attractive apartments and grounds. Yes, the buildings are older, but they are clean, well -maintained and the place has character! If you're in the market for a reasonably priced place close to downtown Westlake Village

Love living in Westlake Village and in this complex overall. Its a bit of a older building so walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors a little but that is usual apt. living right. The staff is great. Vanessa has always been proffesional, honest and helpful. The people who do repairs and keep things super clean are always friendly and on point. If you have a clogged sink or a light out they are quick to fix and with a smile. Best part if you love pool time this is the spot for you, specially when your sitting in the cabanas.

Can't believe we moved to oakview apartments recently and have never experienced such hostile and unprofessional treatment by Vanessa that works in the office. She literally yelled at me and put her hand up to my face when I came in the office to complain that we have a bathtub leak for past 3 days and although I called twice nothing had been done to stop it. The leak got so bad that I was filling up a pan of water every 10 min. I was so shocked that she told me to stop talking and began yelling that I turned on my cell to tape it. I'm going to agree with previous review, that Vanessa is exceptional
with one small remark, she is exceptional in doing nothing.
Living here for more than two years I have pretty good understanding how management is working. First impression might be positive until you sign contract. Since that time you never will see how Vanessa is smiling....
All your problems (related to living here) will be solved slowly, and often as batch job. Apartments by itself outdated, old AC (might be 10 year old), gas based heater ( near 20 years old). Widows are thin (never changed since apartment was built

I have to commend the Oakview leasing agent, Vanessa for her excellent customer service and for going the extra mile to meet my personal needs. I found Vanessa to be organised, friendly, personable and professional who assisted me with a 3 bedroom apartment. Any issues I had with my apartment, Vanessa was on top of it!!
