KentuckyOne Health was formed when two major Kentucky health care organizations came together in early 2012. KentuckyOne Health combines the Jewish and Catholic heritages of the two former systems - Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare and Saint Joseph Health System. In late 2012, the organization formed a partnership with the University of Louisville Hospital | James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
The nonprofit system is committed to improving the health of Kentuckians by integrating medical research, education, technology and health care services wherever patients receive care. KentuckyOne Health has more than 200 locations including hospitals, physician groups, clinics, primary care centers, specialty institutes and home health agencies, with nearly 15,000 employees across the state of Kentucky and southern Indiana.

A month before I came into this facility I was scheduled to have my gall bladder taken out. Right before my scheduled surgery my liver enzymes skyrocket. I have itchy skin and yellow eyes. U of L downtown ( great service) found I had AIH. My gall bladder was never removed. A month after this happened I went to ER because I had severe abdominal pain. My urine looked like blood. I stayed in this location was it was they worst. The floor doctor continued to think I was on drugs or alcohol and even called my family provider. My provider even found what he was saying silly. He made me feels like I was

Only come here if you want to die!!! I was recently hospitalized here. My meds were always 2-3 hours late. If you’re in pain, forget getting your pain meds. I waited 8-10 hours when I was supposed to receive them every 6!! I kept pressing my call button asking for them and all they would say is “my nurse will be there soon”. It is downright ABUSIVE. I will never come here again.... EVER!!!!!

If I could score no stars that would be the case. I will never step foot into this hospital again. There are no words to describe how I have been treated. I highly recommend that you stay as far away as possible from this hospital and any of the hospitals associated with them. Please do not respond with the automatic response to call.

My husband had surgery at Jewish and the Dr and staff there was amazing very attentive informative and caring. One particular lady that was at the desk in the waiting area was amazing I watched her constantly keeping people informed of there loved ones. She would give them updates whenever she would receive them. The board they had set up as well with the status of your loved one was so nice and took some of the stress and worry off waiting and wondering.

The amount of communication with the patient about treatment and diagnosis is minimal. General respect for the patient and their representatives is low when making normal inquiries. Doctors seem to spend less than a minute in the room.
For a learning hospital, they could learn a lot about basic communication and decency.
So to put things in perspective, I only found a way to contact their customer care after initially posting this. There patient care manager refused to speak to my fiance at all even after I gave her authorization to act on my behalf and we only found out there was such a person

Stay away from this place. Over the past years I've always chosen Jewish when I needed emergency care. Never had a problem. Always clean and professional staff.
However....on new years night I tripped on a rug and fractured my hip. I requested EMS to transfer me to Jewish not knowing it had been taken over by U of L
By the grace of god I was able to survive 4 days in that building . Had it not Bern for the fact I could not walk when I was brought there I would have exited immediately before surgery. All staff were rude and completely uncaring. From The ER to surgery to critical care .

This hospital is a joke. Do not send your family member there if at all possible. It is dirty, gnats flying around my moms food tray as she was attempting to eat. No toilet paper the whole time even though they were told. Not to mention they discharged her with covid while she was still not able to even walk, this place is a joke. Please go elsewhere!

Please do not take your loved one here. My father was admitted here and was having internal bleeding. They knew this and still scraped his longs and caused worse bleeding and pain. They wouldn’t let my mom or anyone see him. My mom spent hours calling the hospital for updates on him and they said they didn’t have any and she couldn’t see him. They called my mother 6 hours later saying that he took a turn for the worst. When she got to the hospital she found out he was moved to ICU never once did they tell my mother this information and when we arrived to finally see him he had passed beforehand
