XLerateHealth has evolved to become Louisville's first and longest standing healthcare accelerator and one of the longest operating accelerators in the nation. We explored several top national healthcare accelerators and it became clear that we needed a partnership with professionals who understand the industry we want to serve.

XLerateHealth selects promising healthcare startup companies to participate in an intensive 12-week Accelerator, working with a team of coaches and mentors to support the commercialization of innovative life science, med-tech, and digital healthcare technologies. Our Accelerator aims to bring early stage startups to a level where they are attractive to customers and investors.
Our flagship Accelerator is hosted in our headquarters in the heart of Louisville, KY. Louisville is a strategically positioned national hub of healthcare heritage, knowledge and innovation. It is the birthplace and growing ground of healthcare behemoths such as Humana to successful startups such as Apellis and is home to a multitude of top-tier aging care organizations and research universities.
XLerateHealth and the University of Michigan partnered to bring Fast Forward Medical Innovation's (FFMI) fastPACE biomedical innovation and commercialization program to Flint, MI to help stimulate the local innovation economy and serve as a primer for healthcare entrepreneurs to prepare for the Flint XLerateHealth program.
From White House level to boots-on-the-ground initiatives, XLH elevates the visibility of and support for entrepreneurs and ecosystems across the Midwest and Southeast. The XLerator Network funded by the National Institutes of Health and led by XLerateHealth, is a partnership with 24 academic institutions with the University of Kentucky serving as the Academic Lead.
