Dr. Sam Aronhime grew up in Louisville, KY, went to high school and college in Northern Virginia and returned to Louisville to complete dental school. Following that he served in the United States Navy, completing his service at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD in 2006. He met Dr. Massie on a medical mission trip to Haiti in 2004.
Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing or extracted teeth. They are better than other alternatives like bridges because no additional teeth need to be altered to place the new tooth. The entire implant process is performed over the course of a few months. The first part of the process is to install the implant itself, where a screw is placed into the jaw bone.
What is a dental implant? A dental implant is a permanent new root for a missing tooth. It is a titanium screw that is placed into the jaw bone. An abutment and crown is then placed on the implant to provide a new tooth that is permanent and looks just like a natural tooth. How are dental implants different than dentures?

I recently had a dental exam and cleaning completed. Today I had a cavity repaired and a filling placed. Dr. Aronhime and his team are outstanding. Melisa and Michelle are kind and very caring. This was absolutely my most relaxed and painless dental care experience. I highly recommend this practice.
