Extreme Martial Arts Center (EMAC) is Wilmington's premiere martial arts facility. Master Rohena offers expert instruction in World Taekwondo (Olympic style) and Hapkido. EMAC is dedicated to the highest quality of martial arts training by focusing our program to address exercise, drills, safety tips, and a realistic approach to self-defense situations.
The Way of Foot and Fist teaches disipline and respect, which also trains practitioners in mental and physical durability and flexibility. EMAC supplements this training with multiple self defense forms, as well as competitive support through tournaments and sparring. Founded by Grandmaster Choi Yong Sul, Hap Ki Do is defined by a flexible combination of striking and grappling self defense.
Extreme Martial Arts Center is the only school in the area affiliated and recognized by the Kukkiwon in South Korea, the international governing body for Taekwondo. Our students, instructors, and school are recognized and registered in belt rank by the Kukkiwon, giving our students get authentic and comprehensive instruction so they are guided and molded into the BEST martial artist.
EMAC provides an After School service program for kids who wish to come straight from school to the studio! This gives them the opportunity to build the Respect, Self-Control, Self-Esteem, Confidence, and Discipline, which other after school programs would not innately provide.

Master jeff is an amazing instructor and really cares about each child he instructs. He cares about their lives outside of the center not just while they are training. He teaches respect and Integrity above all else and expects those things from every child. He has made such a difference in how my son behaves andI wish I could give more stars. He is so knowledgeable and kind. Thanks EMAC

Awesome instructor. Great with all of the students, but especially patient with younger children. If you want to learn real Taekwondo and at the same time experience a disciplined environment, this is the place! My son started out at another Taekwondo dojo and we knew it was bad, but didn't know how really bad it was until we experienced Extreme Martial Arts Center. We've been with him now for 4 years and can't say enough about his dedication to the art.

My boys having been practicing taekwondo here for almost a year and they have learned so much! It is a great martial arts school and Master Jeff is an amazing instructor for the kids! Balance, coordination, cardio to burn energy, confidence, respect and focus....these are all the things I love about Extreme Martial Arts Center 😊

I have been in martial arts for 30 years, 25 of them taekwondo. I have practiced at different schools in different states and countries. This is one of the best folks. It's a multi-faceted school great for kids discipline and fun, for adults to come for an awesome workout, or for anyone who wants to learn self-defense. Oh and they do summer camp too!

My daughter has been taking taekwondo at EMAC for almost a year now and she is absolutely loving it! Master Jeff and his staff are amazing. I personally love watching her get stronger and the pride she has when she learns something new or earns a new belt. They value and teach respect, discipline, integrity and kindness, which is very important to us..and they make it fun!
When I asked her about what she loves about it, she says that she loves the kicking, punching, sparring (because it makes her feel like a real ninja :) ), learning Korean, and learning to focus...and then putting it all together

My kids and I have been a part of the EMAC family for over two years. You will not find a better instructor than Master Jeffrey Rohena. Master Jeff provides an environment of learning that incorporates discipline while remaining fun and exciting. If you are looking for a place for your child to learn Tae Kwon Do I would highly recommend EMAC. You may also want to consider them for after school care, summer camp, birthday parties or group self defense classes. The staff and owners are professional and the school is clean and inviting. I would encourage anyone looking for a school of Martial Arts
