Seidokan Karate
Seidokan Dojo is a traditional Japanese/Okinawan fighting (Kumite) art that includes: the kicking, punching, and blocking techniques of karate; the throwing and joint-locking techniques of Aiki-jujutsu (Toide); and the traditional weaponry of Okinawa (Kobudo), (i.e. the Bo, Sai, Tonfa, Kama, and Nunchaku, as well as the sword techniques of the Samurai).

It is a most unusual art requiring open-minded students with a desire to develop strength, flexibility, and dexterity. Seidokan Dojo of Leland, located 5 miles south of Wilmington, NC, provides over 50 years of martial arts training. Seidokan Dojo is a family-owned and operated business.
Services
Seidokan Dojo provides a safe, fun and comfortable environment for children to learn martial arts as well as other important social-development skills. Dojo games that provide strength training, hand-eye coordination drills and sportsmanship development. We have seen shy children become more outgoing and confident which in turn helps them to set goals and achieve them.
We are so proud of the work and effort that our students put into learning the art of karate. Many work hours a week to master the discipline and are rewarded with a knowledge and ability that far surpasses a simple after school program. Below you will find some photos that we have taken and we are continuing to add to this section so please keep stopping by to see more!

I was visiting schools in the area about a year ago for my daughter to attend. The first school I observed was a buy-a-belt school. After watching for an hour it was obvious that was not where I wanted her to go. I saw mikes school on the map and was concerned because it was out in the middle of nowhere but I figured I would give it a try because I did not want to drive into Wilmington 3 to 4 times a week. I went in and observed a class going on. It was obvious that it was about self defense and not the belt. I signed her up. No contract and fair price. She has been going for a year now and I could
